Wolf
I carefully approach the door, looking out for the strange girl. I let my shoulders relax as I don't find a trace of red outside the door. I start towards the forest when I hear someone's voice.
"No! It's a wolf!" I jerk my eyes to the voice, only to find a tall young man with a gun trained straight at me!
Gun shouts reverberate through the clearing and I start running. I shoot for the treeline, for the cover of the trees and away from the gun-toting man. I can feel my heart in my throat and adrenaline through my veins. I hear more gun fire and can practically feel the bullets skim my flank.
I howl as a sharp and hot pain spreads through my back leg. I feel myself tripping over as it becomes as heavy as stone, and I fall onto my side. I try to drag myself on, but the fall severely hurt my head and I can't clear my head. My eyes droop and I see the sun starting to rise. Perhaps for the last time, as my vision is swamped with black.
