It's Christmas Eve and you're sitting with your laptop open, the screen illuminating your face as your heart weighs heavy. Theo was out on the east coast for work and you were stuck back on the west coast in Beacon Hills.

"I'm still sad you won't be home for Christmas." You say as you bite the inside of your cheek.

"Yeah, me, too." Theo says, his eyes showing a shade of green with sadness.

"There's really no way you can be home?"

"Boss is making everyone, babe. There's nothing I can."

"Well, your boss fucking sucks." You grumble.

"Yeah, but the job pays well." Theo chuckles, running a hand through his hair. All you can do is force a smile as you look away from the screen. "Hey," Theo pulls your attention back as you lock eyes with the screen. "I'll totally make up for this." First, his words come off sweet but being Theo, he wiggles his brows suggesting more.

"You better." You retort, now stifling a laugh.

Theo smirks with the shake of his head. "Alright, I gotta go so I can find some food and try to get some more work done. I'll call you in morning."

"Stay warm." you smile. "Love you."

"Love you, too." Theo says shyly before the screen turns white and then black.

You let out a sigh and check the time. It was getting late and with Theo not around, there wasn't much to do. The tree was shining bright and houses next to yours and in front were shining with their lights, everyone ready for the following morning to be filled with glee and warm hearts. Yours would not be so lucky. You'd wake up and feel colder without the warmth of Theo on such a warming holiday. It was work and you understood but that didn't make it any less heartbreaking. You felt homesick despite you being the one that was home.

The morning rolled around and you stretched, your eyes falling on Theo's cold side of the bed. With a sigh, you dragged yourself out of bed. One of Theo's shirt hung long on you and your pajama pants barely dragged on the floor while you walked to your kitchen. You started a pot of coffee and went to the TV. Love Actually was on and you went ahead and just left it on. While Theo wouldn't be home, you didn't want to mope the day away. Instead, you would make the best of it by watching holiday movies.

However, before you coffee could even finish brewing, your phone sounds with Theo's ringtone. You immediately smile as you run back to the bedroom to get the phone off the charger. A picture of him sleeping is lighting up your screen before you finally answer it.

"Merry Christmas, babe." Theo's voice chimes through the phone.

"Merry Christmas, Theo." You blush and take a seat on the bed.

"Hey, you haven't checked the porch yet, have ya?"

"No," You chuckle with knitted brows. "Why would I?"

"I asked Liam to drop something off for me. You should go check."

"What're you up to, Theo Raeken?" You narrow your eyes as you stand from the bed and make your way to the front door.

"Nothing bad." He snickers on the other end.

"For once?" You retort.

"Ha, you're hilarious. Hurry up."

"Okay, okay." You roll your eyes and unlock the door.

When the door opens, Theo is standing in the middle of your front yard, bags in hand and a shit-eating grin plastered on his face. Theo pulls the phone from his ear and hangs up, stuffing into his pocket.

"Theo!" You yell as you run up to him, jumping in his arms.

Theo's arms wrap around you as his lips connect with yours, pulling you right back home. "You didn't think I'd let you spend Christmas alone, did you?" Theo whispers against your lips.

"I thought you had to work?" You pull away from the kiss as he places you on the grass.

"Yeah, well, I couldn't let you be alone. Got on the first flight." The corner of his mouth tugs into a smile.

"I really love you, Theo Raeken." You smile wide as Theo grabs his bags and wraps an arm around your shoulders, leading the two of you back into your home.

"I really love you, too." Theo responds, placing a delicate kiss on your head.
