Oliver's P.O.V.

The audition started out as exciting but soon turned boring. I was sitting there, yawning, with my feet on the table. My father didn't seem to mind, though. Or maybe because he doesn't care.

I clapped as the last person finished their performance. It was actually Stella. I didn't quite pay attention though. I just know that she sung well because my father clapped as she bowed. My father rarely clap so I guess she was good enough to impress him.

Swinging my feet of the table, I sat up straight to look at what my father was writing. He was paying way more attention than me. Obviously.

As I was reading through the stuff he wrote, footsteps could be heard on the stage. Whistles from the boys were sent out. Mumbling went through the crowd. I lifted my head up to find...

A blonde girl with bright blue eyes, shining like stars. Curls were rest upon her shoulder and she was smiling shyly.

She looks so familiar...

My mind flashed back to the party, with the mysterious girl. Her hair wasn't that curly then.

But...

It has to be her.

has to be. I'm pretty sure.

I stared at her, deeply into her beautiful, flawless eyes and sat back down. I didn't even know when I started standing up. I was just mesmerised by her beauty.

I looked to the side, to see Stella, her temper probably rising by now but there was a confused face instead. She looks around her, before sneaking backstage. She looks like she was up to something.

My father nudged me, taking me back to my 'job'.

He lowered his head as I looked back up stage to find this mysterious girl talking to Clara with a clipboard. Probably asking her name.

I was staring at her until I realised my father was talking to me. "What?"

He sighed. Yeah, you made the decision to raise a child, dad, so deal with it.

He said, "I asked if you know this girl or not."

"Well, I think I met her once. Don't know her name though," I leaned back into my chair.

I saw Clara left the girl and came down.

Instantly, I shot up to my feet and asked, "What's her name?"
Clara scratched her head before saying, "Well, I asked her and she told me to call her 'Crystal'. Pretty sure that's not her name."

Crystal...

Well, that will have to do.

I wish I could just... break up with Stella now. She seems pretty annoying and clingy late and I have no idea when we became official. Didn't even asked her out.

And now... I have my dream girl in front of me. And I have no single clue what her name was.

I think I'm obsessed with this girl now.

And so...

the audition begins.

><><><

Dam, this girl has some seriously amazing voice and skills. and something that made me drawn to her... beauty.

I know you shouldn't judge them by their beauty and stuff, but I swear, I think I'm in love with her.

She has the most, perfect voice and I couldn't help thinking and wishing that this girl can be in my arm and be... mine.

I snapped out of my daze as I watched her closed her eyes and started to sing the chorus. She passed through the speech.

My father looked more concentrated than ever before. She's probably gonna make it through the finals.

Baby, I'm dancing in the dark

with you between my arms

barefoot on the grass

listening to our favourite song

when you said you look a mess

I whispered underneath my breath

you heard it, darling you look perfect tonight.

Yes. I know. It's Perfect by Ed Sheeran.

Her voice sounds so strong and I bet it will remain in my memory forever.

"I think she should be the main character," dad whispered.

I smiled as I nodded. I felt glad. Because I don't want to be stuck with Stella.
