What makes someone hot?

I remember when I told my bestfriend about how my first crush was on my neighbor and bestfriend and she said he was ugly. She said he wasnt hot at all and didnt see why I liked him but to me he was gorgeous.
Now that I know my sexuality I realise that she didnt see it because she didnt see him like I did. She was straight and she saw who she liked by both looks and personality but, seen as she didnt know the guy I had liked that well, could only judge him on his looks.
To me, he was gorgeous. Not for his looks, but for the way he looked at me, the way he laughed, the way he always made me feel important and wanted. He knew me like no one else at that time did.

He moved away before I could tell him how I felt but then again I was 8 when he moved away so no relationship with him wouldve lasted... also I think he thought of me as a sister. But yeah, when I think back on my first crush and all of my crushes after that one, me being demi makes sense.

Anyway, what does make someone hot? I never really understood it, I still don't know. I guess asthetically pleasing people are hot but beauty is in the eye of the beholder so I guess everyone finds other people hot. So why do they even say "He's so hot, isn't he?" Makes no sense to me. Any as demi, hot I guess is my friends. My boyfriends hot but thats because he's my boyfriend. The people I have had crushes on I wouldnt say were hot but they're beautiful people: Kind, funny... my bestfriends. The only reason my boyfriends hot is because I find him sexually attractive and thats only because I'm really bonded with him, ya know? The whole hot things really confusing 😂
