Chapter One...

Beep. Beep. Beep. I hear my obnoxious alarm clock. I hit the snooze button for the fifth time this morning. Beep. Beep. Beep. "Ughhhhhh," I say as I sit up in my bed looking out the window of my really expensive apartment in Chicago. I look at my phone and the time reads 7:34 oh yay I think to my self. I swear I only got 5 hours last night. Soon I'm out of my bed going to my kitchen to make a cup of coffee. While I let it brew I go and get ready for the day I decide on a pair of black skinny jeans with a few rips, a white crop top, and lace-up heeled booties. I do simple makeup look consisting of eyeliner, mascara, concealer, and some nude lipstick. I curl my hair and pin a few strands back. I go back to see that my coffee is done I put some creamer in it and sit on the couch and text my best friend Christina.
Tris: Hey girl you up yet??
Christina: ya I'm up and ready!
Tris: good I'm coming to pick you up.
Christina: k see you ily!
Being the best wonderful person I am I left her on read and finish up my coffee. Grabbing my backpack, keys, and phone I'm out the door at exactly 8:15.

I walk down the wall to Christina apartment which is a few doors down and I knock. "It's open" she screams from inside. I open the door and walk inside she is grabbing her laptop and charger and stuffing them in her bag. She runs back into her room and gets a jacket. "Hey girl," she says as she walks over to me waiting at her door. "Hey" I reply. "Soooooo how was work last night," she asks. I know what she's doing, I work with this girl her name is Nita and she's a self-centered narcissist, fake bitch and honestly, I hate her. "Don't even start Chris" I say walking out of her apartment. "Oh come on I wanna know what's going on when I'm not around," she says as we both walk to the elevator. Chris and I both work at Victoria Secret but we have different shifts she works from 2-6 and I work from 4-8. We do still see each other for the two hours our shifts overlap but it's still not enough time with my best friend. You're probably thinking if you and Nita have the same shift then why doesn't Christina know about the shit she does? Well, Nita's shifts don't start till 6 and I don't know when she finishes nor do I care. "She's a bitch you know that," I say in an annoyed tone. "I know sorry for bringing her up," Chris says as we exit the elevator and walk through the lobby. "It's fine I just don't like talking about her she pisses me off," I say. Soon we are walking to my car, when we get in Chris speaks up. "Are you working late tonight" "Unfortunately I am" I reply. Christina and I's other friend, Marlene, is in Arizona visiting her parents this week so I am taking her late night shifts. I hate working but in order to live in a really nice apartment and go to college and have clothes and food and all that stuff, I gotta work. I've been working some crazy jobs in the last few years but finally, I found a good one at VS and I make some good money. We stop at Dunkin Donuts and I get a medium Frozen Vanilla Chai. Chris gets a large ice coffee with mocha. We pay and go back to my car and head off to school.

When we get there we get out and walk into the massive building. As we are walking to our class we see Shauna and her sister Lynn coming in too. "Hey, guys how are you," Lynn says running up to us, her sister not too far behind. "I'm good how are you," I say looking between the sisters. "I'm great guys I don't know if you know but Zeke finally asked me to be his girlfriend," Shauna says was a huge smile on her face. "OMGGGGGGGGG AHHHHHHH" Chris screams and we all start hugging. "I'm guys I don't mean to break this up but we should probably be getting to class," Lynn says. "Oh shit ya," I say looking at my Apple Watch, 9:27. "Omg ya classes start at 9:30," Shauna says. We all walk off to our classes and begin our day.
