Aspen Hayes POV
The next day Kane and I drove out to Louisiana to see this venue. We had decided to have the wedding in Louisiana since most of my family friends are from there. My grandparents arent exactly in the best shape to be traveling. We had finally arrived. Kane helped me out the truck and wheeled me threw the grass.
"What do you think?" He asked.
"It's beautiful." I said.
"So what do you say? Is this the place?" He asked.
"Yes." I said.
"Just picture it, you actually walking down the path." He said.
Since I had started physical therapy again. I regained a little bit of feeling in my legs. Which was a good sign.
"I can't wait." I said.
"Me neither." He said.
We got back in the truck and drove out to my parents house. They were having aget together with everyone. A few of my old friends would be there. I was going to be announcing who my maid of honor was going to be.
"Come on in." My mom said.
"Asp!" My childhood friend Layton said.
"Lay." I said hugging her.
"I take it this is Kane." She said shaking his hand.
"Nice to meet you." He said.
"Come on everyone else is here." She said going into the back yard.
"Kane this is Payton, Dallis, Maddie and Jamie. We played softball together." I said.
"Nice to meet yall." He said.

"Okay so I want to announce who my maid of honor will be." I said.
"Who is it sweetie?" My mom asked.
"Libby." I said.
"Oh my god thank you." Libby said coming to hug me.
"Your welcome, Dallis, Maddie, Layton, & Payton. You girls will be my bridesmaids." I said.
"So have yalk decided on the colors?" Libby asked.
"Maroon & Gold." Kane said.
"Thats pretty." She said.
"We have a date and venue." I said.
"When is it?" Layton asked.
"July 23rd 2019." Kane said.
"Awe a summer wedding." My mom said.
"How is therapy coming?" Dallis asked.
"Good I have some feeling back in my legs." I said.
"Thats good, any time frame if when you will be fully walking?" She asked.
"No its kind of a waiting game. I been doing the excersises everyday." I said.
"Keep it up. I know how bad you want your Daddy to walk you down the isle. Not wheel you." My mom said.
"I am more than determined to walk down that isle." I said.
"You will baby just give it time." My mom said continuing to eat.
