Chapter 17 - Bring Her Back!

Jack's Pov ~

In a blink of an eye, they were gone, lost in the darkness.

"NOOOOOOOOOO!"

Suddenly I felt myself unfreeze and caught myself before I fell.

The sand, it was all gone! Not a trace nor sight of it!

GUARDIANS! I NEED TO CALL THEM!!

I lifted my staff high and brought it down, watching the giant snowflake form from the ground to the sky.

    Hurry hurry hurry. HE CAN'T TAKE HER!

    Suddenly a flash of light blinded me and appeared 3 figures.

"Jeez after ol' this time. Ye finally called."
I heard an Australian accent.

"BUNNY! HE TOOK HER! ELSA!"
I say frantically, dropping the staff.

I can't think straight. I let her down, I let them down. What have I done?!

I watched Bunny's face change from concern to fear as I began pacing. My hands shook, my head hurt.

"Woah woah! Calm down Jack! We'll get her back! Don't worry!"
Tooth tried to soothe me.
She fluttered in front of me and stopped me.

I shook her off.
"NO! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! HE-he said that...for his plan... he needed her! An-and that the world is waiting for her! What do you think he means?! OH OH AND ALSO! HE WAS ABLE TO CONTROL HER!"
I marched up to a confused North and shook him.

"I WATCHED HER NORTH! SHE WAS DRAGGED INVISIBLY! I-I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT I WATCHED HER NORTH..."
My vision began to blur and I knew what was coming.

"North...I watched her...helplessly, be taken. I-I couldn't do anything...I couldn't save her...North please..."
I managed to say through tears.

I was sniffing, letting down the waterfalls that I couldn't hold back. There was no way to stop what I was feeling. I didn't know what it was. The emotion I held for her, love.

"Please North..."
I grabbed his coat harder and dipped my head, watching the tears drop to the ground.

"We need to save her..."
I whispered.

I felt his big hands hold me up.
I looked at him.

"She's not dead Jack, not yet anyway."

My eyes widened.

"That doesn't help,"
I heard Bunny whisper.

I felt North put me down as I wiped my eyes with my sleeve.

"Jack. We're going to save her. You just need to tell us what happened."

Tell them how you failed Jack. Tell them you're weak.

I walked to my staff and kicked it up, letting my arm drop again.
    I shook my head.

"It happened too fast. We were doing that meditating thing that I do an-and then Pitch appeared. Said his plan was about Elsa and how she was pure and easy to..."
I trailed off.

Oh no....

"Speak boy! Easy to what?"
North shook me.

"Change. He's going to change her! As in..."
