"My parents took me out on a cruise ship trip," Corey starts. "I was fourteen back then. We were just sitting on the pool deck when a large wave started coming towards us. Everyone panicked, they were running everywhere. I couldn't even find my parents in all the kerfuffle." I giggle at this. Corey smiles. "Funny word isn't it?" I nod.
"As I was running, I caught glimpses of my parents heading towards the lifeboats. I yelled to try and get their attention, but they were too far ahead and there were too many people. When it was my turn to get in the boat, the wave was washing over the ship. I jumped in just as the guy cut the lines.
He went down with the ship.
"I started rowing fast, until I came upon this island. I've been here ever since." he gives me a pained look. I want to comfort him, but I don't know how. "I'm so sorry..." I say reluctantly. He shakes his head as if he's trying to clear away the thought.
"Are you hungry?" He asks me.
"Starving," I reply.
Corey gets up and starts walking towards the hut. "I'll be back soon," he says. "I'm going out to get us some food. I'll be back in about 20-30 minutes. You can look around camp if you want."

I'm so sorry this chapter took so long!!! :( I wrote it two weeks ago when I was camping and I saved it, but watt pad said "Haha, I don't think so!!!" And then it got deleted :( I couldn't remember the way I wrote it, but I think this version of chapter 5 is better!!!
Oh, and for those of you who have been reading my book since I first started it, you know that I was writing in past tense.
I didn't really like it so I changed it to present tense, so don't be all confused and freak out!!!! Haha ;)
Love you guys and thank you for continuing to read my book :)
Abby :)
