I am not fragile, I'm not made of glass,
Your damaging words, I know, will pass.
You give every woman, princess or whore,
A box to fit into, won't let us be more.
I won't be a lady, nor a faint-away Maid,
I'm a fairytale bad wolf and our scene is laid.
From youth we are told "cross your legs and don't pout"
If you're nice, when you're grown, you'll marry some lout.
But i am a she-wolf, my fangs are bared,
And amongst every woman, my power is shared.
You don't bother with faces, you don't know my name,
All you see is a body, just something to shame.
But i am a she-wolf, fangs bared all the while,
you leer and call out "sweetheart, give us a smile!".
You've cornered and trapped me, my back to a wall,
But never, not once, did i consent to feel small.
You think that I'm beaten, but the odds just won't stack,
You may know where i am, but what of my pack?
We each have each other, we're never alone,
Our wits have been sharpened, our claws have been grown.
What you do to a she-wolf, 'neath the moon or the sun,
Her pack returns tenfold, so you'd better run.
