"In the Dark"

Here I am again,

Lost or Found;

I can't hear a sound.

There's nobody around

And it's too dark to see.

Did you leave or did I?

My eyes are blind,

The silence is empty, it's torture on my mind.

There's nothing to find,

And as for life, there is no sign.

I need a friend in the dark,

All I want is a spark.

I don't want to be all alone,

I live in fear,

And when I cry,

There's no one to hear.

All alone,

I'm on my own.

Is there nobody who will hear my cries?

I need someone's help...

And it's just like that.

As if something snapped,

My eyes are open,

And I am not alone...

Crazy how seeing your face can bring me so much joy,

But I was all alone,

And then I get to see you.

...

I wish I could say it ends for me like that...

But for me,

The darkness conquers my sight,

And I am my own light,

I create my own spark,

In the dark,

Waiting to meet someone

Who will find the answer to the code,

And find the road,

To find me and lead me home.
