"Lauren! Lauren!" the 7 year old Latina girl yelled banging on her best friend's room door. "Camila, Calm down. What is it?" She asked "Lauren, mom and dad said we have to move! I don't want to move! I want to stay with you!" She began to cry.
The older girl was shocked at the news, but hugged her best friend. "It's okay, Camz, don't worry." She herself had a few tears in her eyes knowing that her best friend would be in another place without her. "Please don't let them take me Lo. I wanna stay with you."
She looked at her friend. She knew she couldn't do anything about it. "Hey, listen. You know how your mom and dad have a phone and so do mine?" The smaller girl nodded. "Well we can call each other! and talk! It would be like we are together!" She gave her friend a smile. She smiled back. "You promise Lo? Promise to remember me always?" The older girl stuck her pinkie finger out. "I do Camz."
