Silver Lining

"Princess, please show it again" Jun pleaded "please, I know you can do it."

"Stop it now Jun, for the hundredth time I am telling you it's not working you might have hallucinated" she replied coolly

Jun gave up. He had been trying desperately for a week so that Risa would show some of the magic which she did not know. Defeated he started returning to his room.

"Look Jun. it might have been just an adrenaline rush which you mistook."

"I don't say baseless stuff, Princess. I only speak when I am sure about certain things" he went back to his room slamming the door behind.

"What the hell did I say to offend him? This boy is so irritating" Risa screamed in her mind

"Sometimes this girl gets all over my nerves," Jun thought.

"Master is upset" Linda replied when Risa asked her why Jun is not down for dinner.

"Your master has been pestering me for some shitty hallucination he saw that day in the market, and now he can't digest the fact that I have no such thing in me," Risa said "so since the digestion is not proper. He is not hungry."

"My appetite is totally in place and Linda, please get my food in my room. I have some works to do" Jun shouted from his room.

"He has got some ears," Risa said

"And Linda tell her that I have installed a microphone in the hallway. So I can hear what you converse-clearly" he shouted again

"If you hear this then Jun, STOP BEING A BRAT NOW! You are behaving like I am some magician who didn't perform the way you wanted" she shouted back

"Linda, tell her not to shout, I can do with normal voice" he shouted again

"Linda, tell him you are not his messenger," she said, "and please pass the bread."

They ate in silence for ten mins when they heard steps descending from the first floor.

"I came to get a bottle of water for me" he announced. No one replied. He quietly went into the kitchen and filled a bottle.

"Linda, tell her to control her temper," Jun said when he passed by their dining table.

"What are you Jun? 10 or something? Behave like a grown up kid man" Risa said getting up from her chair. "Linda I am done. Let me know if you need help with the cleaning," and she left the hall.

Linda was amused but she said nothing.

Mr. David was seated in his office when Jun entered.

"Good morning sir." He said

"Good morning Jun come in and have a seat" he pointed towards the plush seats lying in front of his table. Jun obliged

"Sir I wanted to ask you permission for few things."

"Ask away, Jun."

"The Girl in my home has lost her memory, and she has got nothing to do all day. I would like to ask permission if she can be allowed to attend classes with me" he said

"This is a college Jun. you cannot get some random people inside the classes without proper enrollment and previous education qualification."

"I know sir, but classes are a great source of learning. Maybe she can know or hear some familiar terms, words, events that she can recall. It will help her regain her memory" he said
