"Josh..." she croaked out, rubbing her thumb over his arm. Josh lifted his head up, his eyes red and puffy, to look at her.

He smiled weakly, "yes, princess?"

"C-could you sing me a song?" she asked, slowly closing her eyes. Josh' breathing hitches and tears clouded his vision.

"What song, Y/n?" He asked calmly, lacing their hands together.

"Truce" she whispered.

"Now the night is coming to an end" Josh looks at her and his heartbreaks at her peaceful state.

"The sun will rise and we will try again" Josh sings, caressing her cold cheek.

"Stay alive, stay alive-"

"-for me" Y/n smiled as she cooed her daughter to sleep. Josh leaned against the doorframe, smiling at the sight of his family.

"Mommy, why do you sing the song?" Their son, Archer, asked. She smiled and looked at Josh.

"That song made me strong and I want it to make you strong too, Arch" she softly said as she kissed Archer's forehead.
