We sat on a bench when someone spoke through a speaker.
"The results will be told in an hour."
I sighed impatiently.
"How about we get some snacks?" Dad asked.
"Good idea. I'm almost dying from hunger", Jacob joked.
The girls around us were looking at Jake. When he put an arm around my waist, they all glared at me with jealous eyes.
'Well sorry girls but Jake is my eye-candy', I thought.
"How long do we have to wait again?"
"An hour maybe", I answered.
"Enough time for eating and cuddling", Jake meant and pressed a kiss to my head.
His warm lips lingered on my forehead and then moved over my cheek to my neck.
"Jake... we're not alone", I mumbled.
He hummed. The vibration from his lips were tickling me. Dad got a bag with the snacks and took out a blue box. I grabbed it and opened it. There were banana split sticks in it. Jake took one stick and held it in front of my mouth. I glanced back at him. He looked at me with a smile. I opened my mouth and already had the taste of strawberry, chocolate and nuts. We didn't really used the time meaningful. We just sat there, eating, taking a few sips of juice or in my case water and talked.
"Attention please. Please be at the main hall in two minutes."
"We better get back before we miss the results", Charlie suggested.

"Now we would like to announce the winners."
Jacob grabbed my hand and pressed it assuringly.
"It's okay. Stay calm, you're one of the winners. I believe in you", he whispered inside my ear.
The judges took really long to announce the winners. They first said how good everyone was, that they were grateful for the audience being there. And then finally, they announced the top three. I could just make out two names that sounded like Sayo, Yana's sister and Nancy. Sayo was getting third and Nancy was getting second.
"What? Only second? What do they have in their heads?" Nancy bellowed, "Who's the first?"
"Now we come to the first place. It's quite a newcomer and if she goes on training and being so good, she will have great chances to be a world star. With almost perfect ten from every judge... the first place goes to Forks Washington, Destinee Swan."
The audience cheered. But me being me, I just stood there. I couldn't believe that I had heard my name. The sounds around me were blurring. Jake kissing my nape finally snapped me back to reality.
"I won?"
"Congratulations Bambi!" he laughed as he hugged me.
"I won!" I cheered.
"Hey wait", Jake then exclaimed.
He had an evil grin on his face.
"You know what that means, right? I win. I win the bet, haha."
"Oh noooo..." I whined.
Jacob laughed.
"Don't worry. It's not gonna be that bad."
"I hope so."
He smiled proudly, when the judges came and handed me a golden sash, a huge bouquet of flowers and a beautiful goblet. One of them also set a little crown on top of my head. Jake leaned down and pecked my lips.
"I'm so proud of you, Bambi."
"Thank you for believing in me Boo-Bear."
"Every time."
Then, he helped me dress in my jacket while Anni held the bouquet, Yana the goblet and Charlie the bags. We went outside to the car together. Dad drove us back to the hotel where we ordered a huge stack of pizza.
"Who's gonna eat all that?" I asked.
Jacob laughed and pointed to himself with his thumbs.
"Well I'm definitely eating much..."
-he leaned closer to my ear-
"... my wolf is very hungry."
"Typical", I laughed and shook my head.
"So since I'm a grownup and a cop and you're in my sight, a sip of wine is allowed", my dad said while he opened a bottle.
The others cheered loudly.
"Desti, you deserved to win. You're the best gymnast in the whole world. I wouldn't want anybody else to have that talent except my future Mrs. Black."
"You're getting married?" Yana asked.
I laughed nervously.
"Yeah, I kinda forgot to tell you huh?"
Anni and Yana pouted that I kept it a secret but they forgave us after a few minutes, stating that we deserved a future with each other and that we were looking cute together.

Time skip

We arrived back in Forks and tomorrow we would have to watch how nice Eddie marries meanie Bella. I somehow have the desire to ruin her mood a little bit. But me being a nice girl, I didn't think about it anymore. Instead I had to wait and bite my nails off. Jacob had taken me back to his house where he told me to wait in his room.
"Okay. What do I have to do?" I asked when he came back.
Secretly, I was afraid what he chose for me. He lifted the package that he had in his hands and handed it to me.
"You will have to wear the big one for... three days."
"24/7?"
"No. You don't have to in the night, only if you want to and not when you shower or go to the toilet. For one week."
He went outside of the room. I breathed deeply and slowly opened the package. I groaned at what I saw.
'That's gonna be so embarrassing', I thought.
