"The Volturi. They're coming."

"When?"
"Sometime around when the snows sticks. Maybe some time after that."
Destinee violently slammed a book on the table and hastily left the room. Jacob sighed and followed her.
"Every single time we want to be happy, something ruins it."
"I know. I'm not happy either. But we're not giving up. And we're not cancelling our wedding. We will marry and we won't let this danger ruin anything. Okay?"
Destinee nodded with teary eyes. Jacob embraced his imprint and breathed in her scent to calm himself.
"Only one and a half week left Desti. Only one and a half week left and I can name you mine", he whispered into her ear.
They went back into the living room.
"Why are they coming?" Destinee wanted to know.
"We don't know. It could be possible that it's because of Renesmee."
"But she didn't do anything wrong. Why would they come after her?"
"Immortal children are forbidden. They are one of the highest crimes."
Carlisle continued to explain.
"The immortal children were very beautiful. So enchanting. To be near them was to love them. But their development was frozen at the age they were turned. They couldn't be taught or restrained. A single tantrum could destroy an entire village. Humans heard about the devastation. Stories spread. The Volturi were forced to intervene. Since the children couldn't protect our secret, they had to be destroyed."
Destinee imagined everything he was saying. She got flashbacks that the Denali's mother who was one of the creators of immortal children. She was crying and screaming for the Volturi to not destroy her child.
"Their creators grew very attached and fought to protect them. Long-established covens were torn apart. Countless humans slaughtered. Traditions, friends, even families. Lost."
"The Denalis' mother made an immortal child..."
"Yes. And she paid the price."
She saw another flashback were the Volturi decapitate the Denali's mother and burned the immortal child.
"Renesmee was born, not bitten. She grows every single day. Can't you just explain that to the Volturi?"
"I don't think so. They are not supporters for reasoning."
"Besides their offensive weapons are too powerful. No one can stand against Jane. Alec's even worse", Alice said.
"Well, then we convince them."
"How can they be convince if they are coming to kill Isabella?" Destinee growled, "you might wanna use that brain of yours."
"You're right", Edward butted in, "they won't listen to us. But maybe others can convince them. Carlisle, you have friends all around the world."
"I won't ask them to fight", the blond vampire said.
"You mustn't. Ask them to be a witness. If enough people knew the truth, maybe you could convince the Volturi to listen."
Esme nodded and turned to her husband.
"We can ask this of our friends."
"Okay. We will go to Egypt. Edward, you can go to the Denali's. Destinee, Jacob could you accompany them?"
"As long as this doesn't crosses with our wedding, we'll do it."
They all packed some backs to go and gather the witnesses.
"At least we get to go to London again. We haven't been there in a long time", they heard Esme say.
"All right. Let's get this show on the road", Jacob lets out.
But he stops in his tracks. Destinee, worried that something was wrong, she went to his side and looked at him concerned.
"Jake?"
The shifter nodded towards the window. There they saw Sam walking up to the house. They went outside to meet him. He gave them a note.
"Alice asked me to give you that. She and Jasper crossed our lands to the ocean earlier ago.
"They've left us", Carlisle stated.
"Why?" Rosalie wanted to know.
"She didn't say."
He sighed and went back inside the house.
"We have witnesses to gather. And we don't have much time."
Jacob pulled Destinee to Edward's silver Volvo.
"Do you think they will come and help?" he asked his imprint.
"I don't know. They might not want to believe that Nessie is a born child and not a bitten one. It's a fifty fifty chance.

Time skip two hours

"What are you thinking about?" Jake asked his imprint.
He was sensing that his imprint was in some kind of distressed. He had looked to her and saw that she was deep in thought.
"I just ask myself why would Alice and Jasper leave at the moment we needed them most? And what do they know that we don't?"
"I don't know Bambi. But I guess we'll find out somewhere in the future."

Another hour later, they drove up to the Denali's house. Edward was the first to get out of the car and he walked up to them.
"Edward, is everything all right? Why didn't you tell us you were coming?" Tanya was the first to speak.
"Why is your bride waiting in the car?" Eleazar asked next.
"And why have you brought a wolf with you? I can smell him from here", Kate sneered.
Destinee clenched her fist. Jacob grabbed her hand and gave it a calming squeeze.
"My family is in danger. I need your help", Edward answered.
"What happened?"
"It's hard to explain but I need you to be open-minded. Can you do that?"
"Of course."
The others had waited inside the Volvo. Renesmee was a bit worried about meeting new people.
"What if they don't like me?"
"They'll love you. They would be stupid not to", Destinee said smiling and got out of the car first. Jacob was following her and then Bella with Renesmee. As soon as they saw Renesmee, the Denali's were immediately shocked.
"The Volturi will come for all of us!" Kate exclaimed.
"You get that thing out of here", Tanya yelled.
"She's not what she looks like", Edward tried to reason.
"This is a crime!"
Destinee knew that reasoning wouldn't bring them anywhere. And she was right. Tanya suddenly attacked Edward and he quickly pushed her aside, Kate then attacked Edward and tried to shock him with her electricity. Destinee quickly ran closer and extended her hand, an invisible shock wave shooting out of it. Her bracelet was glowing a bit.
"Stop it. Now! This is bringing no one anywhere. So stay back! Listen... Renesmee is not an immortal child. She has blood in her veins. You can feel her warmth!"
"I can feel it", Carmen mumbled.
"Edward is her biological father and Isabella her mother. Renesmee was born when her mother was still human and she was not bitten."
"Impossible", Kate whispered.
"Apparently not."
"I've never heard of such a thing", Eleazar admitted.
"She can show you, if you let her."
Jacob stepped behind his imprint, eyeing the Denali's warily. Renesmee went closer to Tanya and the half vampire placed her hand on Tanya's cheek. The blond felt the memories and she understood. She turned around to her family.
"It's true. She's not immortal."
Destinee expected the rest of the friends and family of the Cullens to react the same like the Denali's. They would be fearing the unknown... and the Volturi.
