"Because you've given me no choice! Bella, we're supposed to be partners, remember? But you decided this on your own. You've decided to leave me."
"Don't see it that way."
"Well, I have no other way to see it. 'Cause it's me who'll lose you. And I don't choose that. I don't choose that."

"Hey Desti."
Destinee snapped away from the conversation and turned around to Jacob. She gave him a smile and wrapped her arms around is torso.
"What are you doing here outside?"
"Listening to the dispute between Edward and Bella. I really think that the baby is just her 'ticket' to becoming a vampire."
"My girl is a real genius", Jake stated proudly.
He embraced her in a tight hug and pressed kisses all over her body. She giggled as it tickled in some spots. They then heard footsteps coming closer and turned to see Leah.
"Guys, Carlisle wants to speak with you", she said.

"So, that's the last of it?" Jacob asked as he looked at the blood bags that were left.
"Bella could deliver as early as tomorrow. If she's going to have any chance at all, she'll need more blood", Carlisle replied.
"And you need to feed. You have to be at your strongest for her."
"We need to go tonight."
"Carlisle, you're the enemy now. Sam won't hesitate. You will be slaughtered."
"Emmett will come with us."
"That won't be enough", Destinee butted in.
"We have no choice, you two. If there's anything we can do to save her, we have to try."
"You'd risk your lives for her?"
"Of course we would. Bella's a part of our family now."
"Yeah I can see that. Bella is part of it with every little shitty problem she has and when Desti needed you, you were not there."
"Jake", Destinee began.
"It's the truth. And everyone here knows it", Jacob snapped and pulled his imprint outside of the house.
There, he pressed her against the wall and kissed her deeply and with passion.
"I'm sorry", he said when they broke the kiss.
"Don't be."

Destinee's POV

"I'm sorry", Jake said after he broke the kiss.
"Don't be", I mumbled.
"Jake! They're coming", Seth exclaimed as he came up to us.
"I know."
"We should phase, Jacob. We can't protect ourselves and your imprint like this."
"They'll see it as a threat. I wanna talk! Be easier if I could hear you, too", Jacob spitted.
A few of Sam's pack appeared from behind the trees.
"This isn't your territory anymore. How's the new family working out?" Paul mocked.
"You done?" my mate snapped.
"You coming home, Jake?" Quil asked.
I saw the hopeful look in his eyes and already felt pity towards him.
"Not until I finish this."
"What do you mean?" Paul wanted to know.
"I want Sam to take back Leah and Seth."
I looked at Jake, shocked that he said that.
"What?"
"No way!"
"Jacob?"
"Quiet!"
Jake seemed to hesitate for a moment. Then he looked at me with something unreadable in his eyes.
"My imprint too."
"What?!" I exclaimed.
"I want them safe. And I want this over. I need Sam to wait until Bella's been separated from the problem."
"You mean till she's dead."
"Or till you're all alone with her and can mate with her?!"
"Ease up, guys", Embry tried to calm me and Paul.
"I-I'm... going to the hut... if anyone wants to know", I mumbled and made my way into the woods to the hut that Rosalie had shown us. But I hid behind the next tree and let them believe that I went to the hut.
"Then what?"
"Tell Sam that when the moment comes, I'll be the one to destroy it."
"Jake! You said-"
"I'm the only one who can. They trust me", Jake interrupted Seth.
I leaned against the tree I was hiding behind and let out a shaky breath.
'Was this all a farce? Was he pretending all this because he knew that he would imprint on Bella's kid if it's a girl or that he may win her heart again? Did he fake his feelings...?'
Suddenly I heard howling.
"It was a trick? You fooled us so they would get through?! Traitor!"
My heart seemed to stop for a very short moment. He really helped them? The Cullens? After what he said to them? So he didn't fake anything... oh how could I have doubts in our relationship?
"Jake, go see your mate", I heard Leah say.
I heard leaving footsteps and looked from behind the tree to see Jacob still standing there. He took a deep breath. I carefully stepped around the tree and behind him. Then, I hugged him from behind.
"Desti?"
"Yeah?"
"I hope that you know that I didn't mean these things a few moments ago. I'm so done with Bella."
I sniffled.
"Desti, why are you crying?" he asked as he looked into my eyes.
"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..."
"What for?"
"I'm so sorry that I had doubts in our relationship, in your feelings for me."
"No no no Bambi. You listen here... as soon as this whole Bella-Drama is done, we're getting married. I promise you that. I can't wait any longer. I have to make you mine, I don't care that we're not 18 and that I'm still a few months in school."
I smiled and gave him a deep kiss before I wrapped my arms around his neck.
