I did love you and I loved us.
If I knew then what I know now,
I would have loved us more.
If only our memories could waste away like time
I'd forget each and every second that you were mine.
You planted your love deep inside me,
it blossomed and flourished passionately
Rooted in your love you saved me.
Even when the rains came you sheltered me.
Then winter came
And our leaves fell
And I dug a pit
And buried them well.
Now time like a drawn out symphony
Whistles the moans of our now dead tree.
