Summertime Sadness A Modern Day Hunger Games Story

Airport

We hop in my car and speed to the airport, excitement is taking over our bodies. Annie turns on the radio and blasts California Girls by Katy Perry and we sing along loudly as we drive to the airport.

Once we arrive we grab our bags and walk in, " I can imagine the ocean already " Johanna says with a sigh, walking through the door.

" Just wait, soon we won't have to imagine. Soon we will be able to smell it, feel it and be in it" I reply.

After a long walk through the airport we find our plane and take our seats and await the long ride ahead of us.

Me, Johanna and Annie all got seats next to each other so we won't be alone.

I have never been on an airplane before so if I get scared, I have Annie or Johanna to help me.

I plug in my earphones and await the long ride ahead.

...........6 hours later...............

" We're here" I hear as I am being awoken by Annie. I rub the sleep out of my eyes and take out my earphones. We all get out of our seats and exit the plane.

As soon as I step off of the plane I am hit with a breeze and 80 degree heat, ' so this is what California is like '.

I walk to the bag return and grab my stuff, " do you guys have your stuff?" I ask, " yep " they reply and our journey begins.

We walk to the car rental and pay, hop in the car and speed off to the beach house.

The house was 30 minutes away so we had some time to listen to music, I turn on the radio and play Summertime Sadness Remix

Eventually, we arrive and me and Annie's eyes pop out of our heads, Johanna just starts walking to the door like she has seen a better house than this one in front of us.

It is the biggest beach house I have ever seen, Johanna notices we are not following her and just laughs " Fine, I guess you guys don't want to see the inside " she says with a sigh.

Me and Annie break out of our daydream immediately and rush to the door.
