The Hybrid

Training

Thomas and Rosey headed to the training room. There, they saw Lillith training with Nevlinae about the use of her tail and her inner jaw. Thomas folded his arms in pride at his little sister learning well. After a while, they decided to take a break and rest for a while.
"Ok Thomas. You and Rosey can train for a while. Me and Lillith need to rest", Nevlinae said, her tail flat on the floor showing her tiredness. Thomas nodded and helped Nevlinae to a corner for her to rest, Rosey doing the same for Lillith. Soon the two of them got into a training stance. Rosey charged Thomas, but Thomas used his quick thinking to springboard off Roseys head and land behind her. Rosey quickly spun around and dodged a jab from Thomas' wrist blade. Thomas then flipped and slammed his tail on the ground, almost hitting Rosey but she dodged it. Thomas then tried to grab Rosey with his tail, but Rosey was too quick for him. Rosey jumped onto Thomas' back and Thomas struggled to shake her off. With his tail, he threw her off and jumped onto her, his tail at her throat.
"You'd be dead if this was real", he said before he got off her and helped her up. He checked Rosey over for any wounds he could heal for her. Luckily there were only a few small scratches, nothing too severe. They didn't bleed because they weren't deep enough to draw blood. Lillith was awed by how fast and strong her brother and sister were. She wanted so badly to be as good as them. Thomas quickly ran to the feeding room and brought back a big slab of meat for Lillith and Nevlinae each.
"Here. You'll need your strength to keep training. Nevlinae is an amazing teacher. When I grew up, she always trained me and taught me good techniques with my wrist blades", Thomas said to Lillith, who nodded and began to eat. Thomas handed Nevlinae her meat and sat down a little bit tired. Rosey really knew how to keep a tight grip on someone's back. Luckily neither of them were badly hurt. Only a few scratches. Both had been through much worse. Thomas changed to his human form and stretched, relishing the feel and sounds of his joints cracking and his muscles stretching. He shook himself off and he sat with Rosey watching Lillith and Nevlinae train again. Lillith was showing remarkable improvement.  Soon she had pinned Nevlinae down, inner jaw at her head. Thomas and Rosey clapped and all four of them received a mental summon from Flaitheas. They immediately got to her chamber quick. She beckoned her son and daughters up to her. Thomas clambered onto Flaitheas' shoulder and the others climbed onto her back and arms. She purred as her children rubbed their heads against her in a display of love and affection. She returned it and praised Lillith for her training. Flaitheas then sent Lillith to get some sleep, and Nevlinae to watch over her. Thomas yawned and fell asleep against Flaitheas' crest, Rosey falling asleep on Flaitheas' shoulder. The Hive was soon quiet as everyone slept
