Your black is beautiful whether you have light skin or dark skin. I love celebrating black womanhood because it is beautiful. We need to teach our little girls that they are beautiful. We need to teach our little boys that they are beautiful. We need uplift black people in general.
Self hate is so prevalent in the black community because we have begun to judge ourselves and others by the European standard of beauty- something that needs to die.
In some black men, self hate shows up in their disdain for black women just as dark or lighter then them, and honestly it's sad. There is nothing wrong with dating/being attracted to a white woman; you can date them without putting down your own women.
Black is beautiful; every shape, every size, every shade.
