For you

For you, I would have climbed
the highest mountain peak and
swam the deepest ocean.
For you I would have crossed the
rivers most wide and walk the hottest
desert if it meant I could see you one
last time.
You were the one who captured my heart
and touched my soul.
You were the one who stepped out of my dreams
gave me hope, and taught me what real love is.
You alone were my reason to live.
You were the one God sent me from above.
But you are gone, and my nightmares became real.
Oh how I wish I could see you one last time...
