Myles hadn't wanted to expand on his relation to Priest and had left, shoulders slumped and Frey confused by everything.
Priest, the cruel maniac torturer who was consistently being evil towards children, had family? Priest, who had surely been a bully during the time he was growing up, had a sibling? Had a nephew?
It was just to hard for Frey to fathom the idea that Priest was looking after the poor, poor boy who had got roped into coming here. Hopefully Myles' mother or father was nicer than Priest was - if the entirety of the family was that way then Myles was trapped in hell. He seemed like such an...open boy and Frey really respected that even though he seemed to be a free teenager, he was communicating with the Projects. Whether Frey was the first one or not was unknown, but he was making an effort rather than lazing around and complaining. He was doing something. Frey couldn't rely on the fact that he was going to help the Projects, Help Bart and him (and all the others that he hadn't met yet) get outta there, but his gut was training him to hope for Myles to be on their side. Hoping that Myles attitude and demeanour towards him hadn't been staged and he'd lied about everything. Hoping that Myles was genuine and wasn't actually like Priest, conning him into believing that he had a friend before crushing him into pieces.
Hopefully Myles wasn't like Priest.
Hope: a force that never died inside his heart. The hope that he would get to meet all the projects. The hope that he would see Bart again. The hope that Myles would come back. The hope of getting out of here and the hope of Ágúst being in one piece when he got back.
The list went on and on, Frey could go on for hours about the stuff that he wanted, lesser needs or cravings like certain sweets, meals or simply fresh air, or the more desperate desires for fresh air or escape.
A therapist would be good, someone to rant to, but lord knows what kind of therapist they'd have here. It'd probably be Riggins dressed in women's clothing with a wig, a notebook and a cup of tea (that was of course actually disguised vodka). Bart couldn't empathise either because she was less human than Frey. Not a lesser human, she just didn't...experience the same emotions as Frey needed to vent about.
But Myles was normal. Not with any weird powers or history with Frey like Ágúst, it was a completely new friendship and Frey could either make it stronger, glue it together by crying on Myles' shoulder or send Myles away from his room forever. Myles was a fresh start, a clean slate and a chance for a new friend. Not a significant other - Myles was attractive, yes, but Frey had a certain type of guy and Myles was too...outgoing for Frey. Frey had a particular kind of person he usually made friends with or got close with and it fell under the likes of Ágúst and his nerdy friends. Frey was throwing himself into the friendship with Myles because Myles was too friendly not to be friends with him - it was practically a crime to not be friends with someone like that.
