Frey had been uncomfortable at first, telling this American his story, but gradually he became more settled with Kai. After all, the boy was not only hot, he also seemed to have a great personality. Frey didn't care anymore about who Myles was trying to set him up with, Kai was the one he wanted now. Kai seemed intrigued by the fact that he was Icelandic and had been very immersed in the story, practically inhaling all of the information Frey had spilled and desperately craving more.
But Frey's story wasn't exactly a happy one, and it had led to his story of being here and how much being here had changed him - if there was one thing that Frey knew, it was that he had changed over the course of being at Blackwing. It had also led onto the confession of Frey being suicidal. By this point, he was sobbing, tears streaming down his face. Kai had pulled him into his lap and was cuddling him gently. Frey buried his head in Kai's shoulder and mumbled a thank you.
"It's alright, Frey," Kai murmured back. "If you ever need anything, I'll be here."
"Don't leave," Frey croaked, "You can't go just yet."
"No," Kai agreed, "I'm not leaving until they drag me away from you."
Myles was still watching, but he couldn't take watching it from a screen any longer. He waited until Frey had composed himself and they were back to ordinary chatting with the occasional blush from either of the boys before he left the camera room (but not before turning off the camera in Frey's room so the conversation they had from now on couldn't be traced) and raced downstairs so he wouldn't miss much.
He burst through the door, grinning. "Hi guys! Thought I'd pop in!"
"Hey Myles!" Kai smiled back at him, waving lightly. Frey and Kai had gone back to sitting on the opposite sides of the bed, but they weren't falling him for a minute, even if Myles hadn't been watching from upstairs, he would have known that some sort of hug or connection had happened because of Frey's overly-tousled hair.
"Why are you grinning like that?" Frey asked, suspicious. Myles instantly tried (and failed) to wipe the grin off his face, but Frey was beginning to work it out. Shoot. No, he wasn't meant to work it out. Frey stared at him accusingly and Myles dropped his head to the floor. Frey gasped and Kai had no clue what was going on. "Did I miss something?" He asked desperately, anxious to get in on their conversation.
"You didn't!" Frey was still staring at Myles in disbelief. Myles had been...trying to set Frey and Kai up all along, all this time, and neither of them had known a thing. At least now Frey wasn't going to have to try to convince Myles not to continue hooking him up with someone else.
"What is Frey talking about?" Kai was bewildered to say the least, Myles was still examining the floor in detail.
"Nothing. It's nothing of importance," Myles lifted his head up, "But I'll tell you what is. How we are going to get you all out of this hellish place as soon as possible without screwing it up."
