"mommy's not pretty enough for daddy. can i get a new one?" the little girl observed the very first moment she met us, crinkling up her nose. the friendly smile that had been on my lips was wiped clean off.
the host who had followed us to our new apartment and brought over our five year old daughter found it amusing. he tried to stifle his laugh with his hand. but i didn't see anything amusing about it.
i could feel my eyes brimming up with tears despite my hardened exterior i had put up recently.
jungkook was quick to notice and scolded the child gently, getting down at eye level with her. "that's not nice, cindy. apologize to mommy."
