The sound of the bell above the door rang throughout the coffee shop once Minhyuk and you had entered. The two of you were going for a 'celebratory' coffee since you had finally said the three dreaded words that could make or break a relationship. Thankfully, your relationship had just gotten stronger and you and Minhyuk were closer than ever.

The concentrated aroma of coffee filled your nose as Minhyuk dragged you over to the counter. He started browsing the overhead menu as you were struggling to breathe properly.

"Now, what can I get you?"

You looked towards the counter and saw a guy standing there in an apron, looking at you patiently with a smile.

*definitely didn't pick Changkyun because he's my fav*

You smiled back politely and tapped Minhyuks arm to tell him to hurry up and order. As you looked back the the guy, you realised he was actually quite (not quite, EXTREMELY) handsome. You'd never seen him around before.. did he just move here? Snapping out of your thoughts, you realised he was staring at you with a slight smirk. You instantly turn your head the to the other direction to hide your flustered face from the guy.

"Are you ok, babyyy?" Minhyuk looked at you worriedly as he saw your face had gone red suddenly. He pressed the back of his hand against your forehead and then ordered quickly. As Minhyuk was about to turn away, he did a double take on the waiter and realised his smug expression. He quickly put his arm around your waist and scooted closer to you.

"C'mon, maybe you should sit down..", Minhyuk suggested loudly, glaring at the guy behind the counter.

You noticed how clingy Minhyuk was being all of a sudden and smiled to yourself unknowingly. Was he jealous? Well, it's not like he has anything to be jealous of anyway. You're a loyal girl that just gets flustered easily so he has nothing to worry about.

Even though you were positive everything was normal, Minhyuk wasn't so sure. When the guy came over to your table to bring your drinks to you, Minhyuk slid his hand onto your thigh as he sat up straighter.

You were too busy having a midlife crisis about Minhyuk touching your bare thigh at all, never mind in public, to notice that he was having a stare down with the waiter.

You quickly reached out for your iced tea, to try and force down the lump in your throat. Minhyuk had stirred you up big time and you hadn't really figured out how to recover quickly from these sudden attacks of affection yet. Others may not even notice small gestures like this, but it always hit you like a missile to the pits of your stomach. It was bad.

The waiter eventually left and Minhyuk relaxed against you once again. However, his hand stayed in place. You nervously looked down to see his hand planted on your thigh and you felt a butterfly stab you in the heart. Your eyes slowly drifted up towards his, more butterfly's making their way to join the other in attacking you.

He was so close to you, you could feel his breath against your cheek, as you tried your best to keep it together.

Reaching out for his coffee, he spoke with such a confident, yet protective, voice.

"Your mine, alright?" He simply stated, before taking a sip.
