As Jaune woke up he clenched his head in pain trying to remember what happened to him before noticing he was in a hospital like bed seeing he was covered up in bandages and IV's. "where am I" Jaune said as he tried to sit up only to wince in pain "woah woah easy there hot shot your in no place to move not after what you did and took" Jaune looked to hear a man sitting next to him wearing the same suit of armor from when he was on the ground after his fight "who.... who are you? and what happened to me?" Jaune asked as he leaned back in the bed "well first of all names hunter part of the UNSC medical team and you are one luck and might I add crazy son of a bitch" hunter laughed as he introduced himself "and as for what happened to you fully not sure we just got there as we saw you there on the floor bleeding along with to insurrectionists murdered to fucking high hell wasn't long before we ere told by the civies it was you after going on some rampage" hunter said as he fiddled with his helmet "so kid you want the short or long story on what's happening now" hunter said as he looked at Jaune "ill take the short answer" Jaune said wondering where this was going "well after what we heard and saw from CCTV cameras around the area we saw our self's what you were capable of so the UNSC wants you in to fight a war against the insurrectionist hoping you'll be of use to the UNSC" Hunter said as he stood up from the chair "look I have so many questions right now but the most important one is why me I was kicked out of a academy for faked transcript's and never had any real combat experience why would you think I could do good?" Jaune said as he was able to sit up properly "listen kid that may have happen to you but we always give second chances to do better then we could now and then so what do you say up for a second chance at redemption "hunter said as he held out his hand by Jaune following up with ripping out his IV's and standing up and shaking Hunters Hand "you got yourself a fucking deal" Jaune said as he cracked a smile in a long time "but before we do there's one thing we need done first" hunter said as he let go of Jaunes hand "and that be?" Jaune said as he stretched "we need to get your tags so we'll need tests done to get you listed oh and ill need your name as well" hunter said as he pulled out a check board leaving Jaune to crack a grin "oh and by the way how do you feel about a partner?" Hunter said as he took notes of Jaunes condition "uh....partner? ohhh man this is gonna be a long boot camp" Jaune said as he looked a little annoyed and stressed "well I do hate Mondays"

gunfire, loud explosions, orders, and agonizing pain he felt all of these. bullets flying over head as soldiers are being shot and stabbed down to the hard earths ground soon coating it with blood red and blue. it was 2556 and in the mist of the human and covenant war the biggest war of all time as air vehicle's fly over and engage in dog fights as pieces fall from downed air support and ground vehicle's move quickly on the ground either leaving tracks or hovering smashing into human and covenant plasma rounds going off burning the environment where it lands or the bullets and tank shells flying into the air with heat from the gun powder as the bullets pierce their targets dropping shields destroying terrain and turning the enemy into literal Swiss cheese. ground troops of both teams fighting getting close and exchanging blows and stabs one of these men was armed with a 45-DMR bearing vetenator shoulders twin-plated forearms armor X32-PJS leg armor a soldier chest plate and a Scout helmet and silver visor sharing the colors as the other soldiers being dessert brown and sage green as he stabbed his blade into a elites head killing it instantly as his pulled it out with force as he engaged another enemy as he threw his knife striking it in the head then rushing towards it and pulling it out quickly before slitting its neck causing blue blood to spray on his coving part of his armor and helmet in it as he wiped it away as it soon covered his right hand but cause of this he failed to notice a elite Zealot approach him with a energy sword at the ready as it jumped into the air ready to strike him down with deadly desire in its eye's as the armored soldiers turn around once he noticed he felt like it was to late as the sword was only mere inches from contact from his helmet before a loud shot ringed as a bullet struck it down with deadly power killing it instantly before a figure soon appeared as it came out from active camouflage as the solder bared a Sniper with the UNSC logo as the soldier wore a engineer shoulders outer plated forearms armor FJ-PARA 43 leg armor infiltrator chest plate and a helmet that was only issued for top snipers and spec-ops soldiers the locus helmet bearing no visor but in replace helmet sensors to be able to see clearly for the wearer but with a large X the covered the face of the helmet and part of the sides too also having the same colors of desert tan and sage green as he looked at blood cover solider and grunted and moved passed him "you need to pay more attention Felix or else you wont be alive next time if I'm not here" the X helmet wearing soldier said as his voice was deep especially the noticeable voice synthesizer as he walked pasted the now named soldier as Felix sheathed his knife in his sheath as he drew out his weapon "oh bullshit I had that and you know it!" Felix said as he followed the sniper holding soldier "besides were partners we never leave each others backs uncovered you should know that better then the rest of huh Locus" Felix said to the sniper and X helmet wearing soldier as locus simply scoffed at it before he sighed in slight annoyance as his partner was arrogant and cocky but was talented in combat and some knowledge in that thick skull of his. "yes still you need to pay more attention or next time you wont be so lucky" Locus said as he took cover behind some destroyed pillars as he pulled out his SAW LMG and started unloading bullets down the line "yeah, yeah mom. oh and by the way you owe me for that kill" Felix said joining his partner in the firefight shooting his DMR effectively in his enemy's heads dropping them quickly as the kept hold on the line. until all hell broke as multiple phantoms and spirits dropships came in and bringing re-enforcements to the battlefield as the enemy seemed to never stop coming before the UNSC ground forces starting getting over-runned by enemy covenant forces as soon many of them were starting die quickly "this is SGT. Kainen to all forces retreat there's too many I repeat retreat!" as the order was given major air support was sent out to cover the ground forces as the fell back to the pelicans "fall back hurry before we get killed" one of the soldier yelled as they all ran as more soldiers died from incoming shots of air and ground covenant force's as Locus, and Felix made it into a ship as it was filled up with soldiers as it soon ascended as took off to leave the battlefield as the pilot was doing evasive maneuvers to avoid being shot down "is every one ok back there" the pilot asked as the ship was still flying away from the battlefield " no thanks to you dude your late" Felix said as we wiped the mixture of blue and red blood off his armor "yeah well you can take it out of my tip" the pilot said as soon everything seemed to calm down but that didn't last long before the ship started beeping as red lights flashed through the ship as the soldiers were worried on what it was "Report now!" Locus said as he went to the front of the ship "were going down we've been shot by a covenant AA gun" the pilot said as she tried to keep control of the ship "and the good news!" Felix shouted from the back in his seat "that was the good news bad news is we all probably will die from this fall" the pilot said as the pelican ship dropped down to the ground below. "oh god were gonna die I don't want to die I have so much to live for" a soldier said as he was freaking out from the news "will someone shut him the fuck up already!" the pilot said as they closed in to the ground "brace for impact!" Locus said as he and the pilot prepared for the landing " I just want to say if we die I want all of you to know I fucking hate all of you equally including you locus" Felix said as he held onto the harness of his seat "we love you too you crazy knife stabbing Fuck" a soldier shouted as the ship was about to crash into the ground...but it never came all that Felix heard was someone saying his name almost like a whisper "Jaune time to wake up Jaune your going to be late" the voice he heard was almost to familiar as it kept repeating the name "Jaune...Jaune...Jau-Felix....Felix....HEY Felix!" the voice grew louder and darker toned as Felix soon woke up from his sleep as he was leaned up against some creates as someone was tapping his head with something as he soon opened his eyes and looked up to see a familiar stock of a sniper tapping against his helmet as he grabbed it and moved it away as he stood up and looked at the person that woke him up from his nap it was Locus he still had the same armor from the war but only his color changed from tan and sage to black and sage as he looked at him obviously with a annoyed expression behind that helmet but Felix already Knew but didn't care as he stretched his arms out and cracked his knuckles and neck "what do you want?" Felix said as he looked at himself to make sure he had everything on him as his armor was also the same as his one during the war but shared the same change as Locus as his armor was now Black, and orange and now a black visor instead of grey he still carried his DMR but had something new to his arsenal a energy sword he clamed after the death of a general the clamed it once but obviously now dead for the sword can only work for who ever claims it first and passes the right of passage or something along those lines "we need to get going soon if we can get to that place first before the chorus army does and it will make things harder for us we already are behind on schedule so get moving" Locus said as he walked outside to the ships as Felix soon followed but soon something caught his eye on the ground four colors from different things but the way they were aligned is what caught his attention a simple red peddle from a chorus plant a white note probably containing something that wouldn't interest him a black Scope of a weapon probably a BR-55 and several golden yellow bullet shell casings. it sent his mind into a deep though a though he hasn't had in so long and a part of him he never wanted to reveal to anyone or his partner especially his partner his past as he simply drew his energy sword with his right and deployed his hard-light shield as he simply looked at them as his eye's closed and he lifted his head to the sky and opened them and look at the bright sun thankfully his visor protected his eye's against it as a simple but deep though popped in his head 'I wonder how there doing, if there doing ok... or if they even still remember me?' his thoughts were soon interrupted by a shouting Locus telling him to move his ass as Felix soon ran and joined him on the ship as it took of to their destination as he readied himself for this mission but what bugged him the most was that dream he hasn't had that dream in a while one things are for sure "I fucking hate Mondays" he said his thought out loud.

(HEEEEYYOOO! whoops caps lock ah oh-well fuck it right? anyway that was chapter one of A Mercenaries Fate I know it didn't really do the RvB and RWBY thing immediately but it does make the setting for what's to come a lot better you'll thank me later anyway I'm glad I finally decided to make this fic into a real thing its been one in my mind for god knows how long but damn it does it not feel fucking great to do it its like opening a present on Christmas day hoping you get that limited edition white tiger sword from power rangers. and before you ask yes I know kids show but to me that was my child hood so you know kick rocks if you don't get what I'm saying anyway I'm going on for to long so ill just cut it off here by saying I hope you all enjoyed reading this and I can't wait to make the next chapter anyway have a good one CYA!)
