Shuichi's POV

It's 6am.

Way too early to get up...

It was the 2nd morning of me being in this place.

I wonder if we'll ever be able to go somewhere else...?

Is there any other safe place...?

A real civilization...?

Kaito is still sleeping.

And of course, taking up the whole bed.

I should probably go back to sleep, but I can't.

I decide to get up and walk around this huge building.

Maybe someone else is up?

I walk along the walls, reading the scattered papers and posters.

Most of the posters were for decoration, but that didn't make the plain sliver walls look much better.

But there was one paper that caught my attention.

It said, "DON'T GO OUTSIDE WITHOUT THE SUPERVISION OF AIHYA KAWO"

I wonder why...

Is it because of the world broadcasting?

Is it dangerous having us found out?

"She doesn't want the people from danganronpa to find out."

I jump up.

It's Kaede.

"Hey, you're up early!" She smiles at me.

shitshitshit i'm burning up.

"Yeah... you couldn't sleep either..?" I ask her.

"Nope... don't tell her I told you this... but Maki was snoring." Kaede whispered.

"Ahaha... well Kaito was taking up the whole bed again. He'll probably keep doing this the rest of the time we're here." I respond.

"Maybe we should sleep together then... we could get more sleep with Maki and Kaito bothering each other instead."

Did... she... just say... we sleep together!?

I feel myself burning up more than I already did.

Kaede notices.

"Oh geez...! That came out so weird....! Sorry!"

Kaede looked away, red in the face.

"It's fine..! I get what you mean, I'm the one thinking about this wrong..." I try saving the conversation.

"W-well then! Should I move to your room or you m-move to mine??" Kaede stutters.

Kaede s t u t t e r s.

That's unusual. Really unusual.

But... I get why.

"It's up to you." I tell her.

We stand there awkwardly for a few seconds.

"I'll... move to your room... Maki probably wouldn't want to move, knowing her." She finally says.

"What are you guys talking about...?"

Maki appeared behind Kaede.

Kaede perked up.

"M-maki! Hey! Good morning!"

Kaede's making herself look even more suspicious.

"I heard you say my name." Maki gives her a blank face.

"W-well uh... Shuichi and I agreed we should change up where we sleep...! I'll move to his room... and Kaito will move to ours."

"Why would you come up with that? Did you two finally confess your feelings and decide to sleep together this early?"

Did Maki just...

"No!! I-its nothing like that...! I swear...! We'd never do something like t-that!" Kaede waves her hands around.

We're both completely red.

"I was joking. What made you want this though?"

I decide to step into the conversation, "Well... both Kaede and I have had trouble sleeping... so we thought switching rooms might help."

"Yeah. That totallllly makes sense. But I'm fine with that... even if i have to share with that idiot..." Maki sighs.

Kaede puts her arms around Maki, "Thank you so so so much!"

"You're lucky I'm allowing this. I know your real intentions."

Kaede... shushes her for some reason.

She then whispers something to her that I can't hear.

I see Maki roll her eyes.

And slightly smile.

Maki goes up to me.

"You make sure Kaede gets sleep. If she doesn't... you'll get
i t from me." She gives me a small glare.

"D-don't worry," I respond, "I don't move or make noise when I sleep."

"Now we just have to make sure Kaito is okay with this." Kaede says to us.

"I am!"

Kaito appears.

Just like Maki did.

What a coincidence...

"Waoh!" Kaede jumps up, "Kaito, I didn't see you there!"

"Haha, I just got up. But I overheard when walking here. I'm on board with the switching rooms thing! Especially if it'll get you and Shuichi close together!"

He and Maki...

"Why do both of you think of this that way!? We just want sleep!!" Kaede blushes heavily.

"Y-yeah!" I also say.

"Doesn't seem like it to me. But oh well, whatever you say." Kaito winks at me.

I try looking away.

"Well! Y-you'll be staying with Maki now, so don't try anything!" Kaede tries snapping back.

"Oh, he won't." Maki glares at Kaito.

She's blushing though.

Along with Kaito now.

This whole switching rooms thing will be fun....

Especially with Kaede and I.

But I swear I won't do anything inappropriate!

I think...

Not until we date..

As if that'll ever happen....
