"That's your twin sister."

Kaede's POV

I look up at the big screen.

And there I see... me.

Or actually, my supposed twin sister.

Her name was Rise. She looked just like me, but she wore her hair in low pigtails. Her clothes were different, of course.

Everyone's talking about this, yet I stay silent.

Why did they have to put my sister through this hell too...!?

I don't even remember her... but she's my sister!

Another person shows up on the screen.

They introduced her as Seira Yukihara, the SHSL Tightrope Walker.

She's kinda like, Rise's partner.

Like Shuichi w̶̶a̶s̶ is to me.

Just like Shuichi and I did, they went together to meet everyone else.

As I looked around the room, everyone was focused intently on the screens.

I only heard whispers.

In the corner of my eye, I see Aihya turn to leave into her room.

Does she really know their fates?

Is she gonna save them too?

"Akamatsu-san, could you come with me?" Kirigiri-san approaches me.

I go with her.

She takes me near Aihya's room.

We hide, but we're close enough to hear whatever's said inside.

I start to say something, but she shushes me.

She whispers, "We need to find out what she does. But she can't know we're here."

I listen closely to Aihya's mumbles.

"Yukihara... betrayal."

"Mastermind..."

Mastermind! Betrayal!?

I tap on Kirigiri-san's shoulder, and she nods.

Looks like she heard it too.

"First victim... Nishisu"

"First killer..."

I couldn't hear the rest.

Because all I heard were loud conversations.

Kirigiri and I rush back to the main area.

Aihya came out a few seconds later, but thankfully she didn't notice us.

The TVs weren't on.

"What happened??" I go up to Shuichi.

Before he could tell me, Aihya goes up on the stage and explains it to everyone.

"The connection did not break. Nor did the TVs. Someone turned the broadcasting for this off. It should be off for everyone watching." she explains.

"Are they not going to show it anymore?" I hear Naegi-kun ask.

"No, I think their broadcasting system may have broke. There's no way they'd cancel it." She says, "Unless the students were able to escape, which is almost impossible."

Many people start to settle in their beds, or leave for their rooms.

I then realize it's already night.
