Kaede's POV

Everything went on as normal after my sister and the rest of her squad joined us in this building.

Nothing abnormal really happened.

Aihya came back since her job was done, though she usually spent her time in her room.

When I first came here, Aihya said to not worry as we were safe now.

That feeling of safety lasted long... but now I feel like something bad might happen...

I can't imagine something worse happening than the killing game.

I'll just brush it off for now... maybe I'll talk about it with Shuichi once he wakes up.

Right now, I'm walking around the building since I don't feel like sleeping anymore.

I wonder what's going on in the outside world...

I pass by the music room.

I haven't gone in there ever since... what happened last time.

The piano... I should try playing it again.

I'm the Ultimate Pianist, after all.

I enter the room and close the door behind me.

I stare at the piano for a little while.

Will I be able to finally play again...?

"Don't think bad thoughts" I tell myself.

I play a key. I feel fine.

All of a sudden, I just start playing. Without sheets, nothing.

I don't feel anything coming up, I feel fine. Relaxed even.

I can play again!

The only thing I hear right now is the sweet sound of the piano.

It's been so long...

Then, I hear a violin play.

I look to my side, not even stopping my hands from playing.

We don't say anything to each other, we just smile.

The Ultimate Pianist and The Ultimate Violinist playing a duet.

"Kaede... we finally did it again...!" Rise says to me in tears once we finish.

I stand up to hug her, "Yeah...!"

Everything went on normally.

That's how it was supposed to be.

But today,, was the start of a huge change.

"Everyone! Please gather in the main area!" Naegi-kun announced all of a sudden over the loud system.

I was with Shuichi in our room at the time, so we rushed over to the main area where everyone else was.

Naegi-kun handed the microphone to Kirigiri-san, "This is very sudden, but this was the only time we could announce this since Kawo's absent."

Kirigiri-san continued, "Tomorrow, we will all escape from this place."

"Huh??" I hear Kaito say in shock.

Many other people also voice their confusion.

"A few days ago, I found some private papers. It indicated the real reason Kawo saved some of you from near death." Kirigiri-san continued, "We were all to be put into another killing game, against each other."

I couldn't believe what I just heard.

So... it wasn't... for her ships...?

That's not the important part...

We're going to be forced to face hell again...?

Naegi-kun speaks, "That's why we'll escape tomorrow! We'll be able to avoid the plans they have for us."

"What if we get caught?" Nanami-san asks them.

"We don't know. But nothing could be worse than being put into Danganronpa again, right?" Naegi-kun says.

"Kirigiri? Naegi? What are you two doing up there?"

Aihya had come back.
