Heats are actually similar to periods but only beta females experience periods. Omegas do experience pain with their heats but the heightened sexual arousal and hormonal activity will actually block the pain out. In most cases anyway. Other cases like very harsh abdominal cramps due to natural causes, such as something similar to periods, can't be blocked out by hormones or arousal.
