How Do Moods Affect Them?

I believe it affects them like it would a girl on her period. That is, during a heat or - in an alpha's case - a rut mood swings do not exist. Only the instinct to mate really. But pre-heat/rut would have major effects on their moods and actions. Like, extreme mood swings.
