*About One Month Later*

Newt: Hey, Tommy.

Newt: We need to talk.

Tommy: About what?

Newt: It's just not working out between us . . .

Tommy: What . . . What do you mean?

Newt: I mean, I'm breaking up with you.

Newt: Besides, I've been cheating on you.

Tommy: No, this has to be some kind of sick joke.

Newt: No, I'm actually breaking up with you.

Newt: Is your skull really that thick?

Tommy: I . . . If that's what you really want.

Newt: It is what I really want.

Tommy: Okay . . . Goodbye, I guess...

Thomas' POV

I crawled into bed, not caring about the tears falling down my cheeks. What did I do? Just yesterday he was saying that he loved me. Did something happen? Looking over at my dresser, I saw a small ticket. The plane ticket I had ordered to go to see him as a surprise.

Going over the messages, my mind lingered on one specific sentence 'Besides, I've been cheating on you'. No way would he do that . . . Right? My mind was made up. This had to be some kind of cruel joke. Newt would never cheat on me. Heck, he hates most people.

But for now, I needed to sleep. The question was, could I? He sounded really serious. Not once had he ever did something like this. Before I knew it, it was 3am and I had school. Well, there goes my chance of sleep.

I tried to push Newt out of my mind, but I couldn't. Saturday is just a couple days away. Then I can get the truth. Whether I'll like it or not, it was killing me not knowing. No matter how much I wanted to text him and ask if he had changed his mind, I knew I couldn't.

Two more days, I tell myself. Groggily, I get an early start on getting ready for school. It didn't take an expert for someone to tell that something had happened. I looked horrible to say it nicely. My eyes were bloodshot from lack of sleep. My cheeks were red and puffy from crying. And my wrists were damaged from something that happened a couple hours earlier.

Two more day, I repeated over and over again, waiting for morning to arrive for me to go to school.
