Today was different.
Rather than exhausting ourselves in my bed, we sat on the couch mindlessly watching television.
Feeding each other popcorn every now and then.
"Do you think I have a second chance with her?"
My heart cracked.
I wanted nothing more but to bawl my eyes out and scream until my lungs burned.
But instead I faced you and nodded in approval, giving your hand a tight squeeze of reassurance.
A smile formed on your lips, the corners of your eyes crinkling.
"You really love her, don't you?"
You hummed in reply.
Of course.
