Maddie Orlando's POV
"I'm sorry, Maddie!" Lauren sobbed on the end of the phone.
I dropped the phone, and sprinted up to my room. I grabbed the letter Johnny had written me and read it over and over in my mind.
He was right.
I lied.
I had told the judge my mother was abusing me. I told them that she hit me, and he told them I was lying.
Because I was.
And I never apologized for how much I ruined his life and made him try and kill himself, and then of course, he goes to a party and boom.

I arrive at the hospital and push pass everyone before I reach him.
His lifeless body, stained with dried blood.
This happened less than twelve hours ago.
"You were right, I was stupid. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Johnny." I slipped my note into his hand.
Dear Only Brother,
You're right. You've always been right. The day I found out you tried to kill yourself I wanted to talk to mom and dad. But, they weren't there. I don't know where they are and I don't know where you are but I love you.
And I'm sorry.
Truly and deeply sorry that I did this to you and the family.
I miss you,
Oldest sister.
