(John's POV)
I couldn't sleep at all last night. I couldn't sleep knowing the fact that Peggy is hurting as much as I am, maybe even more.
I know what happened last time with her father because she had a bruised cheek, imagine what he might do to her now. I can't sleep with the unbearable feeling that Peggy might be in trouble, and I can't be there to help.
9 am
(Peggy's POV)
"Peggy.. wake up," I heard Agent T call me as she shook my body softly, but I wasn't in the mood to get up so I pretended to be asleep.
"Peggy I know you hear me. Get up..!" She said again, a little louder this time. I still laid peacefully in my bed, even though she was well aware that I was awake by now.
After a few moments, I heard nothing and became very scared. I still laid in bed, keeping on my act of slumber.
Bang! Bop! Slap!
"Ow! Fine..! Fine! I'm up... damn.." I yelled after being repeatedly hit with a pillow on my head.
Agent Theo smirked and ruffled my hair. I sighed and looked down. I was still devastated from what happened the night before.
Theo looked at me and frowned at my sad facial features. "Look kid, It'll be alright. I know you miss him." She told me, placing a hand on my shoulder. "And I know you'll probably hate me for telling you this.. but.. your father wants you to meet someone. He said to tell you to come downstairs as soon as you awake." She told me, making me scoff.
"And why should I? He took away the only person who keeps me sane in this world. The only one who listens and who cares.. Why should I go back to the man who took him away from me just because he isn't rich!?"
Theo frowned and sighed. "Because he's your father Peggy.. And I know he was an asshole to you in the past, but don't hold him against that for the future." She said looking at me with a sympathetic face. This may be the most heart filled moment I've ever had with Agent Theo. Ever.
I sighed in defeat and rolled tiredly out of my bed. I stood up, stretched out my joints and went over to my dresser to find something decent to wear.
I picked out a white shirt with the words Black and Gorgeous written across the top of it, and some black shorts. I put on my favorite yellow slippers and bit my lip as I walked over to where Agent Theo was stationed in groom of my door.
"How do I look?" She sighed and flailed her arms to the side, then let them hit the sides of her thigh.
"You look- decent." She said, giving a reassuring nod. "Now go, he's waiting."
I nodded and walked out of my room and to the top of the stairs. I could hear a small conversation coming from the dining room as I slowly sauntered down the stairs.
"She's coming-.. I know that already!- Yeah she's o- I might-" is all the bits and pieces I heard from the two voices, one of which I'm assuming is my father and the other voice, sounded... familiar.
I raced down the rest of the stairs, anxious to find out who this mysterious person would be, but then I instantly regretted it.
"You.."
(Third Person POV)
Peggy's eyes widened as she saw the familiar person she'd just met a few days before.
Philip turned to see his younger daughter standing behind him, but didn't care about the frightened facial expression on her face.
"Ah, Peggy.." he wore a warm smile, but Peggy saw behind that mask. "Have you met Stephan yet? He's a fine young gentleman!" He said cheerily, but Peggy's face said otherwise.
Stephan's smirk scared Peggy. It was the very same smirk he gave to her when she first met him. When he violated her. When he harassed her.
And she hated it.
Peggy bit her lip and looked at her father. "Philip-"
Philip interrupted with a fake clearing his throat. "Father."
Peggy didn't really care though, "Philip." She continued. "Why.. have you brought Stephan here?" She asked, completely shutting out Stephan from her peripheral view.
"Because.. He seemed like a fine young gentleman for you to marry and get your mind off of poor people. You see, Stephan here, is rich. He's good looking, and he said you two have met before, so, I invited him over for breakfast to see if you'd like to marry him." He smiled. Peggy knew that smile all too well. It was the smile to tell her we better not mess this up or she'd be in trouble.
Peggy looked at Stephan, then her father. "Yes Philip. We've met before.." Peggy said, glancing at Stephan with a fake smile.
Philip seemed generally pleased with this information even thought Peggy knew her father was just using Stephan for a way to expand his profit. "I'm gonna go get breakfast prepared. You two talk and get to know each other a little better." Philip then left the room to go and prepare breakfast for the three of them.
Peggy looked at Stephan and glared. "What the FUCK are you doing? I thought I told you I never wanted to see you again!" she yelled at him, but quietly so her father wouldn't hear her.
Stephan smirked. "I wanted to see you again beautiful~" he said slyly, wrapping an arm around her shoulder as she flinched. he leaned in close to her ear, "And don't forget... your father is watching us... So be nice~" he told her, smirking.
Peggy looked through the threshold of the kitchen and saw her father peeking at them. She flashed a smile and sighed, pulling Stephan and her from view of her father and glared at him, slapping him. "Don't do anything that will get you hurt." she told him angrily.
Stephan smirked and sighed. "Oh Peggy~! I can't wait to marry you!" Stephan said obnoxiously loud to disturb her father. Peggy gasped and groaned. She slapped him even harder and received a strangled noise from her father in the kitchen.
"Peggy, what was that?" he called from the kitchen.
"STEPHAN SLAPPED ME!!!!!" she yelled and Stephan gasped particularly loud. Peggy smirked at him and he glared.
There was a groan from the kitchen. "Stephan." Philip called from the kitchen.
Stephan seemed scared and Peggy seemed pleased that her father actually took time to confront him, even though she was the one who caused this.
"Y-yes sir..?" He stuttered as Peggy stifled a laugh.
"Just.. keep your hands to yourself, and Peggy, stop being a fucking baby!" He yelled back at them, sounding angrier at Peggy than he should've been at Stephan.
Stephan's face settles into a smirk as Peggy's face became pale and scared. If he let Stephan get away with this, imagine what he'd let him get away with if he really hit her.
