((This chapter takes place one year after the "incident" in the first & second chappie))
[Ty's POV]
I open my eyes and sit up. I slowly get out of bed. I place one foot in front of the other and slowly make my way to the sink to splash water on my face. The cold water feels good. I rub my face with a towel and begin to get dressed. This is the routine I have gone through for a year now. It's been pretty uneventful. I don't even remember why I moved here in the first place, it's so... boring. I think I'll move it the city soon.
I walk outside and grab the newspaper from my doorstep. I walk back inside and place it on the table as I begin to make coffee.
[Adam's POV]
I wake up and get out of bed. Instead of getting dressed, I go straight to the kitchen.
"Good morning, sunshine!" Mitch teases. I grumble in response. Jerome kisses Mitch on the cheek then walks over to me with a plate of scrambled eggs and bacon.
"I made breakfast." He says in his most girly voice he can. I chuckle and grab a fork. I sit down at the table and start eating, looking into the hallway.
"Are we still looking for a roommate?" I ask. Mitch nods. "And all of our friends already have a place to stay?" He nods again. I finish the last piece of bacon and stand up. I put my dishes in the sink. "I'm going to go get dressed.
As I walk into my room, I close the door and take out a picture of a boy with brown hair covering his left eye. He looked a little scrawny. I don't know this boy but, for some reason, I can't bring myself to throw away the picture. I place it back in the drawer gently.
[Ty's POV]
"Looking for roommate who is a neat freak." I read out loud. Pass.
"Looking for roommate who doesn't mind getting drunk." Pass.
"Looking for roommate. No requirements needed." That's the only good one I saw. I looked at the address and saw it wasn't too far from here. "Deal." I put my backpack on my back and grab my keys. I walk outside into the cold mountain air and get into my car.
"Siri, directions to ~I don't know the address~"
"Getting directions to ~I still don't know the address~"
~Time skip to ~seriously I don't know the address~~
I look and see a one-story house. This is it. I walk up the steps and ring the doorbell.
"Coming!" I hear someone yell. I hear running and the door opens. The man who opened the door begins panting. He wears a tuxedo shirt.
"I'm here for the roommate offer?" I ask. He nods.
"Welcome... Come... in..." He says between pants. He moves aside and I walk through the door. I see another man sitting on the couch in a plaid jacket with a hood watching the Hunger Games on Netflix. He notices me and pauses the movie.
"Adam! We have a roommate offer!" He shouts. I hear footsteps from down the hallway. 'Adam' stops at the end of the hallway and stares at me. I suddenly remember I didn't brush my hair this morning and begin smoothing it down. He smiles.
"Hello! I'm Adam. This is Jerome," he points to the man in a tuxedo shirt, who waves, "and Mitch." He gestures to the man on the couch who was watching the Hunger Games.
"I'm Ty." I give sort of a half wave.
"So." Adam sits down on the couch. "Feel free to sit down and tell us a little bit about yourself." Jerome sits down next it Mitch and they kiss. I sit down next to Adam and begin to tell them a 'little bit about myself'. During the whole time I speak, Adam stares at me with a confused expression. I finish speaking and the three exchange glances.
"You're hired!" Jerome says.
"Hired?" I ask.
"You're our new roommate!" Adam says. I blush. Why am I blushing?
((Ohhh snap! I see the Skylox forming!))
