A/N There is a question at the end of the chapter. Please answer it :)

David's P.O.V.

I stared as Scotty climbed up the fence. I opened my mouth to yell his name but no sound came out. That fence was supposed to stop people from falling off this bridge and he was willingly doing it. Suddenly he was gone. I watched as Kristen collapsed onto her knees, screaming. Every sound seemed to dissappear as I fell to the ground myself. The slightly wet ground made my shins damp and cold, but all I could think was I don't remember it raining. I took a deep breath as I smelled salty air and gas. Scotty is gone. I'll never see him again. He's dead and you did n o t h i n g. Gosh, David. You didn't even t r y to stop him. You just watched him jump.

My head was pounding as I pressed my knuckles against my temples. "Get... out of. My. Head!" I yelled.

The voices quieted down as I felt a hand on my shoulder. Turning around I saw a police officer grimacing. "Come with us, son." She smiled but you could see sadness behind her eyes. Like she had known him.

Todd's P.O.V.

I watched David run after Kristen, both sprinting to get to Scotty in time. A knuckle loudly rapped on the window and I jumped. Rolling down the window, I smiled embarrassingly.

"Hello officer." I said to the woman that had knocked on my window. She had short brown hair that was up in a messy bun with a navy blue police hat on top. Her arms were muscley and she was quite tall.

A name tag on her dark blue hoodie read Andrea Seize. "You're under arrest for not following direct orders and putting citizens in danger. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say-"

"My friend." I cut her off, "He's on the bridge. J-jumping. P-please help him." My voice went high at the end as tears started to run down my cheeks.

She motioned for some of her men to go and check out the bridge. "Can you tell me his name?" She asked anxiously, patting my back, trying to comfort me.

"S-Scotty Sire." I answered, wiping my eyes with my palms.

Her eyes went from anxiousness to guilt and sadness. "Did you say Scotty Sire?" She asked quickly.

I nodded as she yelled something to her men and ran up the bridge. Oh, Scotty, please be alive. I need you. I love you. We all do.

Question: Should Scotty end up being alive or dying? I think the story would be good with both, but I need your guys' opinions. Oh, and BTW 'Seize' is 16 in French. Maybe that was a hint to chapter 16? I don't know, you better go check:)
