"So nice of you to join us Jayden" the teacher I look at him and shrugged walking to the back there was a person sitting there on yeah he's the guy I punched I motion for him to get up and he gets up quickly and moves to the front I sat down and put my feet on the desk with a sigh I halfway listening my mind starts thinking about Carter to Kim then to the dumb assholes around here I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket I pulled it out it showed my dad, Carter, and Kim texted me I opened them and read my dad's first
'I will be home late today your Uncle Angelo is going to pick you and Chris up be nice and no violence' I read in my head I texted a quick okay closing our messages and going to Kim's second I glance over it not caring what it said something about meeting up at lunch out side I honestly don't know or care next I go to Carter's and I read carefully
'Hey Jayden I'm getting out of this hell tomorrow afternoon so maybe me, you, Dereck, and Roger can go get some ice cream I know I'm supposed to take it slow but I can't' I read I didn't realize the bell rung before I left I texted him back
'It sounds good to me I'll ride with Roger and you can ride with Dereck' I walk out but not before being ran into by a little girl about 3 or 4 with a brown bear tucked under her arm I bend down and look at her confused
"Hi!" She says excited about what I don't know but it made me smile
"Hey what are you doing in a hallway full with tall people huh?" I asked smiling as she giggled
"I'm here with my big brother and my mommy my brother is really bad" she huffed before giggling again I nodded
"What's your name" she asked I look around to see if I see anyone looking for someone but failed looking back at her
"Jayden what's yours" I asked and she looked at me smiling playing with my rings
"Maya" she said she yawned and rubbed her eyes energy suddenly going down I take my jacket off putting it around her and picked her up letting her lay her head on my shoulder I make my way to the main office as the bell rung I opened the door and looked at a worried mother crying and the guy that I punched comforting her
"We will find your daughter what's her name" the front desk lady asked
"Maya" the guy said and the lady nodded I walk up to them and the guy seems on edge I place the sleeping girl with my jacket in the mothers arms and she kisses the little girl
"She ran into me on the way to my next period" I said calm and smiled at the little girl I was about to walk away
"What do you want name the price" the mother said gratefully the kid looked at me and smiled a little and then looked away
"Nothing" I said and the boys head snapped towards me
"Seriously 100, 500 name it" the mother said again my lips curved up into a smile
"Nothing" I said again and walked out as I was about to turn the corner I heard the guy call to me
"Hey! Wait up" he said I turned around and leaned against the lockers he walked up and gave me my jacket I take it and smile a bit putting it on
"Thanks for...you know my sister and I'm sorry about my...statement towards you" he said and I looked up at him and saw he was genuine I nodded and smiled ruffling his hair
"I'm Jayden but everybody calls me Jay" I said and held my hand out
"Jordan, hey your the girl with good right hook" he said and I nodded and smiled a little bit
