Darkness, darkness was the only thing Sumi could see. All she could feel was nothing but pain that consumed her. Her body fell further into the deep abyss, hoping it could end soon.

Please..stop it, someone help me, please...

Sumi slowly opens her eyes and squints at the sight of light. She tries to lift her hand to cover her eyes but realizes that she has been tied to a chair. Her blood pressure drops rapidly, leading to dizziness and blurry vision. Breathing heavily, she looks around the dark place with the feeling of being deserted but it doesn't last long as she sees some men walking towards her.

Her eyes widen and voice gets sucks in her throat when she sees the middle-aged man standing in front of her with a smirk spread across his face. It's been so long since she's seen him and never thought she would see him again in her life.

"U-uncle?" She softly calls, trembling with fear.

"DON'T CALL ME THAT"

He screams raising his hand to her and she flinches.

"You and fucking father ruined my life and now you enjoy your lives while I was rotting in prison?!"

Tears start streaming down Sumi's cheeks as the memories of her past came back. Her aunt, the only person she had after her mom died was killed by her Uncle while he was drunk.

He used to abuse his wife every single day but she still took it not wanting to trouble her brother who was Sumi's father. She went through all of it hoping her husband would change someday but he didn't.

He wanted her brother's wealth so he tortured his wife to get the money from her brother but she didn't. He decided to kill Sumi when she was young so he wouldn't have an heir and hoped that the wealth would pass onto his children. While trying to save Sumi from his drunk husband, her aunt lost her life and he was put in jail.

Now, he came back again with more hatred and more power.

Sumi's heart was throbbing in her ears, loud and irregular, but she barely heard it, for her mind was clouded with fear.

She chokes on her tears but still doesn't stop crying. Her eyes widen once again as she saw Jimin walk towards them with two men on each side of him.

"You did the right thing Jimin" Sumi's uncle pats him.

He stands behind Sumi and taps his feet on the ground before signaling his men to go out.

"I'll take care of this bitch" he smirks and grabs her hair, pulling it roughly making Sumi cry in pain.

"Stop treating her like that!" Jimin holds the older man's collar with tears welling in his eyes.

He smirks, lifting up an eyebrow and Jimin releases him, falling to his knees.

"Please..please release my brother, I did what you asked for" Jimin sobs, holding onto his shirt.

"Oh, Jimin-ah, I know you will do it. I let go of your brother long ago" he says with a devilish chuckle.

Sumi's uncle trapped Jimin's brother a month ago to blackmail him. Jimin is the closest friend to Hoseok, so he knew that Jimin is the right person for his plan.

Jimin didn't have a choice, his brother's life was at stake and he had to hand over his best friend's wife. He's been feeling terrible over this month and tried his best to stay away from her but at last, he had to do it. He couldn't even let anyone know about this as his people are always around Jimin.

Sumi watches Jimin cry and she doesn't blame him for she is in this state because it's not his fault for wanting to save his brother.

His hand collided with her cheek, and Jimin pushes the man to the ground.

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO TREAT HER LIKE THAT" Jimin screams and the men come in, pulling him away from their boss.

Sumi's uncle huffs in anger and slaps her again, but this time blood trickles down beside her lips.

"Please, stop.," Sumi whimpers, her lips trembled as she sobbed.

"SUMI" Hoseok screams as he runs towards her but the men stop him, holding him tight.

He sees the bruises on his wife's face and wrists, and his heart shatters when he watches a stranger grabbing her hair.

"GET YOUR HANDS AWAY FROM HER, YOU BASTARD"

Hoseok reaches the airport but he can't help but feel uneasy. He believes that everytime it rains, something bad is going to happen. He waits as there is still time for boarding but his heart isn't at a place thinking about his wife. Something is wrong, and he can feel it. He needs to see her immediately so he apologizes to Sumi's father and rushes back home. While he gets down the cab, he sees Jimin placing Sumi into his car before driving away. Hoseok follows him to see what's wrong and that's when he found out.
Before entering the old place, he calls Sumi's father and the cops, letting them know about the situation.

"Don't hurt her, please. I'm begging you" tears of pain runs down his cheeks.

Sumi's uncle chuckles as he lifts her chin to look at her. Her eyes red and swollen, Sumi is tired and weak. The piercing pain in her lower abdomen increases every time it contracts.

"They love you so much, you must have satisfied them very well" he smirks at her.

Jimin elbowed the man who was holding him and his fist planted harshly against Sumi's uncle's ribs, causing him to double over. He coughs out a little blood and glares at Jimin.

With her blurry vision and dizzy head, Sumi can't seem to understand what's going on. She just sits in the chair, not moving a muscle, hoping this would stop soon.

Before Jimin could punch him in the face again, the gunshot echoes alarming them and the cops take over the place.

"Sumi, Sumi wake up" Hoseok pats her face repeatedly but she can't move.

"Ho-hoseo.," she mumbles, falling over his shoulder.

He removes the knots on her wrists and carries her, running out in the heavy rain.

Before he could get into a police vehicle to reach a hospital, a car lurches and hits the couple. The sound of metal bending and snapping tore through the peaceful night. It erupted into a horrifying screech.

Sumi's body fell swiftly before colliding with the hard ground.
In extreme shock, Hoseok watches as the floor rises and slaps him in the face. He sees his wife's body from the corner of his eyes as the road was covered in their blood, mixing with the broken glass pieces.

The ambulance sirens in the distance and bystanders rushed to the accident. In the snap of a finger, everything was over.

Death ends a life, not a love.
