Chapter 22: They're Here! Part Two

AVA'S POV

Mr.Brey was here. At my house. With tons of drunk students. I should care, but I really didn't. People i've never met before were here, so I wasn't surprised people weren't freaking out when they saw our English Substitute.

"I'm glad, you have a nice house by the way." Mr. Br- Alex said. Still confused, but whatever.

"Thanks.. Where's um Mia?" I said awkwardly. I wasn't sure how to interact with him. For christs sake, he was my teacher! A really attractive one, but still!

"I lost her, that's why i'm out here. But you're better company." Alex said scooting closer to me. I immediately scooted away from him, he was acting weird. He definitely wasn't drunk either. He took another sip of his red cup. He offered me some, but I declined. If I drank anything else, i'd be sure to pee everywhere.

"Ava! We need to take a selfie!" A freshman girl hollered at me. Who was she? No clue. Like I mentioned, people I didn't even speak to were here. Thank Lizzie for that. I walked over to the girl, and posed. We took a couple pictures before she said thank you. She acted as if I were a celebrity, too funny. I found Lizzie next to a group of girls and she turned to me excited. "Guess what!!" 

"What?" I said turning around to see Alex staring at me.

"Trish was in the restroom, and I managed to snag a video of her talking to Rene how she was gonna win Chase back! Everything we need to prove it to Chase is in here!" She said pointing to her phone.

"Wait! No way!" I said surprised. "Send it to me right now!" I then heard my phone buzz back where Alex was. 

"Why the hell is here?" Lizzie said wide-eyed. 

"Mia must've invited him? I don't know but he's weird..." I said trailing off. "Talk to you later?"

"Count on it!" Lizzie winked at me before returning her conversation with those girls. I finally had the proof to show Chase I wasn't lying. However, I wasn't sure if I still wanted to get back with him. The trust in him would be gone, and i'd be insecure all the time. I don't think I was ready for it. I made my way back to my phone, and bent down.

"Sorry to leave you hanging here, but I should get inside." I said picking up my phone. Alex held onto my wrist, and I paused. I looked around us, and saw that Chase and Trish were gone, and Lizzie and the group of girls disappeared. 

"You need to loosen up! Here take a drink." Alex said giving me his cup. Eh, I needed a drink after what I was gonna tell Chase. I mean I wasn't sure how he'd react, and we all knew I needed a bit of liquid courage at the moment. Sure I was brave earlier, but that was angry Ava talking. Right now, angry Ava wasn't present but scared Ava was. So I sipped from the red solo cup, and trust me when I say it tasted like shit. How was he drinking that?

"Ew! What the fuck is that." I said wiping my lips. Alex smirked at me,.

He checked his pockets and noticed something was missing, "Shit! Stay right there."  He got up in a hurry, and walked inside. My head began to feel dizzy, and everything started to blur around me. I tried to walk, but the ground was moving. Fortunately, I made it inside the house. The loud music was hurting my head. I needed to get out of here. I saw a boys figure in front of me. I couldn't make out who it was.

"Ava, are you okay?" The boy said to me. I mumbled something incoherent. I felt hands go around my waist, and carry me upstairs. My head began spinning again, I couldn't move any of my limbs. I was scared. 

"Oh god Ava, who the fuck did this to you?!" The person said angry. 

"Alex.." I whispered. I couldn't speak louder than a whisper. My throat felt like it was closing.
