(Y/n)'s POV

"Eh?! How could not like that movie?!"
"It just doesn't suit my taste. What about it?" Haku-nii asked.
"But I thought you liked."
"Just because I watched it with you when we were younger doesn't mean I liked it. To be honest, it's terrible."
"Tch, meanie."

The others needed to go to the bathroom so we were waiting. Well, they were taking an awfully long time. As I glanced at Haku-nii, I noticed that he looked annoyed.

He gave me a reassuring smile before leaning against the wall in boredom. Seriously though...how does it take more than five minutes to go to the bathroom?

"(Y/n), do they always take this long?"
"Hmm? I don't know."
"*sigh* Do you even know anything?..."
"Oi, you don't know either."
"Whatever. I'll go check."

I nodded in reply and watched as he left.

Haku's POV

I headed towards the bathroom. Geez, if it was like this every time they go out to watch a movie, then I'd never be hanging out with them anymore.

As I walked closer to the toilet, I heard voices around the corner. It sounded like some people were arguing about something.

"Oi, be quiet! You're talking too loud."
"So are you. Can we hurry up? I'm pretty sure it doesn't take 10 minutes to go to the toilet."

I turned the corner and saw everyone. They immediately stopped what they were doing and went quiet. What the hell was happening here? Was this some kind of joke or what?

As I was about to turn back and leave, Kazuki grabbed onto my arm and turned me around.

"Guys, we can just ask (L/n)," he exclaimed with a grin.
"Ask me what?"
"Well, you see, we've been deciding which one of these places to go to. You told Tsukimori that these were (Y/n)'s favourite places."
"Seriously? That's what's been taking you guys so long?"
"Haku, they haven't been listening to me," said Keii.

I sighed in irritation. Who's idea was it to decide which one of those places to go to?... Wasn't it obvious? (Y/n) would obviously prefer going to...

"Whatever. Some of you should be able to figure it out. Just hurry up, (Y/n)'s probably going to get annoyed."
"But (L/n)-"
"You, Hihara. Have you even bothered to listen to Keii's suggestions? And Tsukimori, you should know my sister well enough to decide. As for the rest of you, hurry up."

Geez...I probably should've stayed home and rested, even if it meant facing dad...

(Y/n)'s POV

~Some time later~

"Seriously?! We're actually going there?!"
"Yes we are. How many times do you have to ask that same question?" Len exclaimed with a sigh.
"Who's idea was it?"
"It was Tsukimori's. Well, Shimizu did give a lot of hints as to what you liked and stuff," replied Kazuki.
"I guess you would have to thank them. We shouldn't even be here...we've done nothing," Yunoki said.
"Yeah, that's true," Tsuchiura added.

I immediately shook my head and smiled.

"Don't think like that. It'll be even more fun with more friends, don't you think?"
"(Y/n), the festival is going to start soon. We should get going," said Keii.

I nodded and let them lead the way. If I remember correctly, the last time I went to one of these light festivals was when mum was still here.

The last time I went, I loved it. If I could, I would've went there every day. It was kinda unfortunate that it was an annual event.

As soon as we arrived, I couldn't help but want to go look at all the stalls. They always had cool items for sale, things you normally couldn't find in a shopping mall.

"Tch, you sure are overly excited for this," commented Haku-nii.
"And you're saying that you're not?"
"These things don't interest me anymore," he replied half-heartedly.
"(Y/n), look."

I followed Keii's gaze and looked up in awe. This was my favourite part of the festival. The 'lights' in the sky. There were fireworks and soon...we needed lanterns.

"Here."

Len handed me a (f/c) lantern with a blank piece of paper. I smiled happily before writing down my wish. The others did the same except for Haku-nii, who had just magically vanished into the large crowd of people.

Len grabbed my hand and led me to the front. We looked up at the brightly-lit sky and watched as the fireworks were set off.

"(Y/n), why do you like this festival so much?" Len suddenly asked.
"Because it's fun and plus, it reminds me of dreams. The first time I came here was with my family and that was when I realised my dream."
"That's nice..."
"Have you ever been to one before?"
"No, but I'm glad my first time was with you."

I just smiled at him. He smiled back before lighting up the candle inside our lanterns. I watched as they floated up into the air.

It's funny how I've come back here with a different dream in mind. Last time, I wrote that I wanted to become a famous violinist. Now, that has somewhat changed.

"Hey, what did you write down?" asked Len.
"It's a secret. My wish won't come true if I told you."
"I guess you're still like a little kid in some ways."
"What's that supposed to mean?!"
"Nothing," he replied with a mischievous smile.

I pouted. He simply gave my hand a squeeze before kissing me. *blush* I couldn't help but look away. I could tell that he was smiling even though I couldn't see his face.

"(Y/n), I'm glad you're with me."
"So am I. I'm happy you're by my side."

Suddenly, a bunch of streamers and confetti were raining down on us. Luckily everyone was too busy with their own business to notice this.

"Yes! I got them!"
"Kazuki!"
"Hey, it wasn't just me!"

I could only burst out laughing. I was glad that they were my friends. I didn't ever want this to end.
