It felt odd to be back at her old house in the rooms filled with the memories of her mom and Harry.

With him coming through the window in the middle of the night with a bruised cheek, a swore side or a limp to the leg and just in the need of love and comfort.

So Cam showered him with love because she had so much love in her heart to give and he deserved all of it.

"You still love me right?"

"Yes baby," she told him as she caressed his cheek and pecked it.

And he was vulnerable and he felt like no one really loved him at that time and the fighting between the couple was only damaging him.

"Can you... can you say it?"

"Love you," she told him and she only said it over and over again so he would never forget

And he never forgot because he knew no matter what she said and if she didn't say it back anymore he knew she did.

And she did. No matter how many times he bruised her in the past with the hotels and the vodka and red lips with hickeys, she still loved him.

So as she laid on her childhood bed with the faint scent of paint fumes and his cologne, she couldn't help but almost scream at the fact as to why she still loved him.

Or why she agreed to have him prove his love to her.

It was a big mess.

But in all the mess there was love.

"Mila," her father called her as he peeked through her door.

The last thing Miguel wanted for her daughter to do was to go back to the man that emotionally abused her and made her feel like she was nothing and made her want to die.

So when he heard that Camila was going to give Harry another chance, his chest couldn't help but burn a little bit.

Because he knew she didn't deserve it.

But she decided to go through it anyway.

"Mi amore," he called her again as Cam turned her head from the cracked window to face the door he was standing out. "Dinners ready."

"M'not hungry," she mumbled.

And there were days where all she would do is eat and there were days where she would do anything but eat.

"No," he scolded quietly because he couldn't lose her. Not the both of them. "I haven't seen you eat anything since you got here. You're going to eat, por favor, Mila." Please

And she wasn't hungry but she didn't want to go back to the lowest of the lows where she couldn't leave the bed and all she could think about was the deaths of her mom and her daughter.

So she got up and she could see the small sad smile that tingled her fathers lips and maybe that was all she needed to be okay.

To know someone was still with her.

"Lisa's downstairs by the way," Miguel said and Cam almost froze because she hasn't seen her best friend in so long and she really needed someone right about now.

So when she went downstairs she ran into her arms, not bothering to get a proper look at her with a ring on her finger and her swollen belly.

It was kind of a big mess.

"Hi Cam," she greeted quietly as she held her tight, missing her black curly hair and the smell of marshmallows and coffee.

And Cam did miss her but seeing her with a swollen belly and a ring on her finger just made her realize she once had that but now she had her promise ring that had all the hope she had left of a relationship that might not work while she was left barren.
