Gutsy x Scottish! Reader

A/n Hi guys this one was requested by RandomElleth, leave a comment down below on what smurf you want me to do a chapter on

Gutsy and I had both been delivered to the smurf village at the same time which resulted in us both having the same talent coincidentally and have been friends since day one, I know it may sound like we're siblings or even twins but don't worry we're not. Years have past and we're still two peas in a pod, the only difference is that I no longer see him as a friend, I see him as more.

The sun rose over smurf village, signaling the beginning of a new day filled with  lots of social interaction, I was still half asleep in my bed when a loud bang came from my door along with a thick Scottish accent

"Y/n come on get your butt out of bed you do this bloody day!"

I replied with a long groan and pull the covers further over my head. After a couple more minutes of sweet silence The door burst open to reveal the red head smurf known as Gutsy

"Guess I'm gonna have drag your lazy butt out of bed... again."

"You'll never take me alive!" I exaggerated and at this he grabbed the edge of my sheets, pulled off my bed and onto the floor.

"Ugh why can't you just let me sleep in for once" I groaned 

"Sorry but no sleepy in for you lass, we got things to do!"

"Fine! I getting up but I'll still don't see why you can't let me sleep in for just five more minutes"

He just laughed at this as I went to go get ready.

Time Skip

Since Gutsy and I don't really have a designated job we just go around and help around the village. Right now nobody really need ed a hand so we decided to go muck around in the forest, while walking there I decided it was time to tell him

"Hey Gutsy?"

"yeah?"

"I want to tell you something, I know you won't feel the same way but I just need to get it out of my system so just here me out ok?"

"Yeah sure what is it Y/n?"

"Ok here it is *sigh* IlikeyoubutnotasafriendImeanlikelikeyou!"

At this point many of the smurfs around us were looking our way to see what was happening. I could feel my face flashing all different shades of red, Gutsy just stood there with a blank look on his face. I sighed

"I knew it, I'm sorry, I basically just ruined our friendship" I could feel tears starting to form and I knew I had to get away before they all saw me crying and breaking down, I started to run deep into the heart of the forest.

Gutsy's POV

"IlikeyoubutnotasafriendImeanlikelikeyou" at Y/n words I froze up, she likes me, she actually likes me back. I was too shocked to even respond and after a few seconds she said

"I knew it, I'm sorry, I basically just ruined our friendship" I could see tears forming around her/ his eyes and started to run in the forest. Why didn't I say anything, my crush just said that they like me back and all I did was stand there and do nothing. I have to make things right again.

Y/n POV

After about an hour of crying and wandering around aimlessly I found myself in a darker part of the forest and decided it would be best for me to turn back now and go back home. I only got a few metres back when a dark shadow loomed above me, I turned to find Azrael staring down at me with his beady eyes. All it took was me to step back on a twig to set him off (I know it's very cliche) I turned in the opposite direction and ran as if my life depended on it, because it did. As I ran I became disoriented and lost my way, with the cat hot on my tail my only chance now was to hide and pray that he didn't find me. 

I found a tree with branches covered in leaves to hide me, I climbed it and waited until night when I was sure Azrael had left. I came out of my hiding place and started to climb down only for my foot to slip and make me fall from around 25 metres high, Seriously I survive Azrael chasing me and this is how I end up dying, not the way I wanted to go but I guess this is it. I closed my eyes and welcomed death only for something to grab me at the last second, I opened my eyes to see Gutsy swinging on a vine with me in his arms Looking like he was on the verge of tears. Once we were on the ground he wrapped me in a tight hug

  "What were ya thinking, trying to kill yourself?"Tears started streaming down his face, I hugged him back for reassurance.

"No, I would never do that" 

"I was so scared you were, all because I never told you the truth"

"the truth, I don't understand?"

"The  truth about how I feel about you"

"and what is that?" I was scared for what I was about to hear.

"That I like you back" With this I looked at him a pure joy

"really?" He just nodded in response to this and for the rest of the night we laid there holding each other in our arms.
