     Shadow's P.O.V.

It was a day like every other. Or I least I wished it was. Bagheera was gone and I would never see Mowgli again. It only made me cry for weeks. My family had tried to comfort me, but it never worked. I was laying on a rock next to where my father was seated.

"Dad, I wanted to talk about Bagheera and Shere Khan," I began talking for the first time in weeks. "I know it's a touchy subject but," I held my breath for a moment and released it, "I think we need to discuss this."

He didn't answer. "Dad?" I whispered.

"No, Shadow," he said. Something had my attention. Could it be? No, I can't let it be him. I saw my younger brothers get inside. Everyone got up, ready to attack. He was going up the rock. Dad and I slowly rose. Then Shere Khan simply sat.

"I suppose you know why I've come," he simply said. Is he trying to act like nothing happen?

"The man-cub has left the jungle," father replied.

"Mowgli," I said, "Mowgli has left the jungle. Now you can go."

"I thought I made myself clear," he said," I wanted him to be hand over to me."

  "We would never," I growled.

"You and I no longer harbor him," Dad replied, "he has left the pack." How could my father say those things? He would never say those things.

"He's with his own kind now."

"So the man-cub has left the jungle?"

"That's right." I hoped my father was telling the truth.

"We no longer a quarrel," I said.

Shere Khan got up, "Well I guess it's done then." I sighed in relief. He only took a few steps. What? No, he is going away.

"Unless," he said, "I can draw," he turned back to us, "back!" He ran toward Dad. I was too slow. He grabbed my father by his neck.

"Please no," I whispered. He didn't listen, and he threw Dad over the cliff. "NO!" I screamed.

  "Done," he said.

"Kill me," I said, "you should have killed me instead of him! You bloody BASTARD!" I began to cry. "Daddy," I whispered. He's gone now. "You could have gotten even if you just had killed me," I whispered.

"Now, I got your attention," he yelled, " now, spread the word! Until I have the man-cub, these hills are my hills. You did not respond to reason, so now you know fear." Please Bagheera, don't come back. Don't let him kill you.
