Ever since that question was asked, Shuuichi couldn't help but feel further worry. He couldn't stand any of it, especially the fact that Kokichi was right and the fact that his own heart was fluttering. Shuuichi couldn't help but be happy that Rantarou could stick with him and would take in his excuses. Shuuichi really did end up growing close to him, of course in a friendship sense. He didn't want it to go anywhere from there because if he did, he would be taken away and his memories would be wiped.

At the same time, his heart still fluttered. He couldn't help but pray that Rantarou didn't feel that way either and that Kokichi was wrong. Of course, Rantarou would be captivated, it was the charm that every angel was born with. That's why the human race always liked to make art based on their likeness.

Shuuichi didn't like his position as much. He would rather be human. This experience only furthered his want. Because forbid if he did fall in love with Rantarou or someone else, he wouldn't get in trouble for it. However, he can't become human. It's impossible. Shuuichi could only lay down and wonder.

Yes, that is all he can do. Shuuichi was laying on his bed. He had let out his wings and halo since it was such a pain to keep them hidden all the time. He had made sure to lock his door so no one can come in, not like anyone was in the dorm at the moment. Rantarou went out to do some quick shopping, Shuuichi insisted on coming with him but Rantarou declined. So now, Shuuichi has trapped himself in his room. Laying on his side, Shuuichi looked down at the sheets that were being covered by feathers. He couldn't comprehend how he felt about Rantarou. He trusted him, he appreciated him, that's all he can pinpoint. Shuuichi still felt troubled, especially since he somehow felt pleased when he was so close to Rantarou.

Closing his eyes, Shuuichi tried to lull himself out of the constant thoughts. It's not like he could fall asleep. Angels don't really sleep, they barely need it. That's why he was able to get up early each morning so easily. A distant click of the door could be heard. Shuuichi opened his eyes and got up, unlocking his room door. Taking a deep breath and holding it, his halo and wings disappeared and he greeted Rantarou.

"Welcome back." Shuuichi said plainly with an idle smile. Rantarou smiled back at him. "See? I told you I wouldn't be gone for long." He reassured. Then, Rantarou looked lost in thought, he was looking at Shuuichi almost intently. "Hey, is something wrong?" Shuuichi asked as he noticed Rantarou wasn't saying anything else. Then Shuuichi realized it.

He forgot his hat.

Tensing up, Shuuichi squeaked and quickly ran to his room. How could he forget such an important thing?! He couldn't stand the sight of someone looking at his true features. Grabbing his hat, Shuuichi quickly threw it on his head and went to meet up with Rantarou again. "A-ah sorry!" He exclaimed. Rantarou chuckled and shook his head. "No it's fine, it's my fault for staring." He replied. "No really, it's my fault. It's normal for an average person to stare..." Shuuichi reassured but he looked away with a flushed expression. "Average person?" Rantarou parroted. Shuuichi tensed. He really needed to work on his wording if he was going to keep a secret.

"Is there something you're hiding?" Rantarou then asked. Shuuichi was trapped at this point. Should he tell him? Kokichi's words fluttered back to him just to further frustrate him.

"He might as well soon because I've seen how careless you've been"

It's not like he was wrong anyway. Shuuichi is terrible at this. He never liked hiding things or lying yet here he is. He wanted to pour his heart out right here and right now but that'd be too much and could lead him to trouble. He didn't even know if his feelings were final in the first place. If it's even worth getting in trouble for.

"I don't think you'll believe me if I told you..." Shuuichi replied instead. "Well, I'm willing to hear you out." Rantarou reassured with a smile. Shuuichi fumbled with his thumbs. "Um.. well... I-it's hard to explain but... I might not.. exactly be human.." Shuuichi sheepishly admitted. It clearly came out more awkwardly than he wanted it to but it's no surprise, it's not easy to admit to something as fanciful as being an angel to a mere human.

"Ah I see.. what are you then? An angel?" Rantarou asked, he had on a playful smile. Shuuichi felt a light pink reach his face. Don't humans also use lines like that to flirt?!
"H-Hey..!" Was all Shuuichi could let out. He tried to gulp down the large lump in his throat. This is definitely harder than what he could've ever expected. "It's alright, I'm joking!" Rantarou reassured, a light chuckle now bubbling out of him. But something about that chuckle seemed off. It seemed genuine but it had a subtle hint of forgery to it. As if he knows he's right. Shuuichi awkwardly diverted his eyes.

"W-well.. you're not wrong..." Shuuichi murmured. "Wrong about what?" Rantarou asked, clearly testing him. "Wrong about... me being an angel.." Shuuichi finished admitting.

Then, out of nowhere, Shuuichi felt Rantarou's arms wrap around him in a warm embrace. "W-w-what are you doing..?!" Shuuichi let out in shock. "Well, as of lately, I've noticed that you've been stressed. I can tell it's this secret that's been causing it." Rantarou began. Shuuichi remained silent. "Is there anything else you want to tell me now?" Rantarou asked but Shuuichi shook his head. "Did it feel nice to finally tell the truth?" Rantarou then asked. Slowly, Shuuichi nodded his head as he leaned his face towards Rantarou's shoulder.

Even if it sounded like Rantarou already knew, it was still nice that he accepted it. Shuuichi never knew how a person would normally react with an angel around but he was just grateful that Rantarou didn't make a big deal about it. Now next, he hoped that Rantarou could help keep the secret.
