So misgendering, we all hate it no matter what we identify as, and here are a few tips to raise you when it hits you low.
•If writing is something you enjoy, try writing stories about you and use your preferred pronouns, name, gender, etc...
•ask your friends and family to respect this change your making/made and talk to them about it.
•if you have asked the person who misgenders you to stop, use the wrong pronouns for them, ask them how they feel, and tell them how you feel about them doing that to you. With the last one, I have a little story to go with it.
I don't feel comfortable correcting people when they misgender me because I'm scared they will snap at me or something(I overthink everything so I'm scared in general of basically everything) and my Grandma wouldn't use the correct pronouns for me and it felt like daggers. My mom called her because I was fed up and just broke down, and my mom explained it as
"Every time they get misgendered it feels like they are being pushed into the female self that they don't want, and that they are stuck as a girl no matter what they do"
And my grandma understood and tries to correct herself more now.
All some people need is just an explanation and it won't fix all situations but if you feel comfortable explaining then do so, knowledge helps a lot in so many situations in life.//Ok so not related to this but, I know I haven't updated any of my stories for a while and I'm sorry, I took a break from Wattpad but I'm back now and I will try to update more, love you all❤️
