"Would you like more strawberry juice?" Agnes asked.

"No, I'm fine for now."

I have been having cramps all day. After yesterday's awkward tea party, I have been feeling sick, and now I have cramps, I feel like the world has come to an end.

Only if that good for nothing husband of mine could cuddle up with me. . . Let's just forget I ever said that.

I shifted from my uncomfortable position, and tried to get up from the bed, but Agnes had other plans. "You shouldn't be moving around anyhow, just lie down and rest."

"Okay, I'll just pee on the bed, I'm sure Adekunle won't mind."

She let out a beatific laugh. "Fine, just go, I keep forgetting that you constantly need to use the toilet."

After I was done with my business, I laid back on the bed and fell asleep again.

"Aria, wake up."

"Mmh?"

"Hey cow, just wake up, you can't just be lazing around my house."

My eyes shot up, it was Adekunle. "What do you want?" I asked, looking up to his bleak eyes.

"All you ever do is sleep, every damn minute. Is this how your parents raised you? To be a dying cow?"

I hissed, I wasn't going to reply. I rubbed my eyes and stretched, before proceeding out of the room. The house was quite, which meant Agnes wasn't home today, I opened the oven and there it was, sticky ribs.

I love you so much Agnes.

I couldn't wait to have it in my mouth, the beautiful taste of the ribs would drive I and my baby nuts. I quickly grabbed a chinaware and helped myself, then walked into the living room. I switched on the tv, and put on the Simpsons.

Then took my attention back to the gorgeous masterpiece in front of me, my mouth was running like a waterfall, I inhaled sharply and gradually brought the fork closer to my mouth when I heard my name being yelled.

"Aria!"

Silence.

"Aria!"

Silence.

I rolled my eyes and dropped the plate on the table. Can't I get a moment to myself?

I barged into the room and to my amazement, Adekunle was standing there with my towel wrapped around his waist, I just stood there gawking like and eagle, no words could describe how good he looked right now.

Snap the hell out of it Aria, play it cool, remember!

"What are you doing with my towel?!" I yelled, my eyes not leaving his body. "I'm never using that towel, disgusting!"

"Well, I have been singing your name for the past thirty years. I needed you to get my towel, seems like Agnes washed my towel," he goaded, with a big smile. "You seem to like the view, too bad."

"Ju-just get a life!"

Smooth Aria, real smooth.

"Ha, I have a life. . . Unlike you."

Walk away before it's too late.

With that, I turned my heel and ran back to my tasty meal. After indulging in one of the best meals of my life, I decided to call Karen.

". . . What? So does that mean I have to come there by myself?"

"Yes, the graduation is next month."

"Okay, I'll have to talk to Adekunle about it."

"Okay dear, love you!"

I have to be in Masdin in a month, to attend my graduation. I'm finally an actual fashion designer, it always been my dream to design wedding gowns.

Later that evening, I asked Adekunle if I could go and he gave me his usual deadpan expression, saying I could go to hell for all he cares. It hurt, but I didn't have a right to feel anything towards him.

I was drying the dishes when I heard Adekunle yelling. I knew he was talking on the phone so I didn't want to bother him, but he kept yelling and curiosity got the better of me. . . I walked towards his office door, trying to hear what he saying.

"Listen, I didn't kill him, it was an accident and you know it! I loved him." I heard something hit the floor and I moved away slightly not wanting to get caught, but something he said got my attention.

"Haven't I given you enough money Tiawo? What else do you fūcking want?! Another 90 million dollars? Fine."

I quickly dashed into the bedroom. What could Adekunle be hiding? And why is uncle Tiawo blackmailing him?
