I Need You

Hi everyone! Before anything happens and in case I don't update tomorrow, Happy Mother's Day! I may also add a Mother's Day special after this one-shot so yeah!

The mission the couple were currently on wasn't as planned. However, the belief surging strongly through them was strong enough to hold a chain for them together as for their bond.

The fire dragon slayer's vision blackened like the darkest night sky with those clouds that shaded the moon. Oh how he missed seeing the moon with his beloved girlfriend.

His limbs felt bloodless; numb. He scrunched his fingers as he struggled to glance a final view at the blonde.

A spell was it. She was hypnotized but by the look of her glistening brunette eyes, she fought like the woman she was. Her boots slithered a slow step as the woman behind her cackled evilly and ruthlessly.

"Don't bother. Your love is down, you're alone and no one nor nothing will save you," Her voice growled deeply in the back of her throat.

Lucy's steps shook as the edge of the cliff stiffened closer. Her shaking yet still hands, the gulp she swallowed strongly, the blood intensified below her trembling fair skin; she shook with fear. Yet, she still lacked belief in her self.

She pushed with all her gut could take her but all that did was let out an exhale of exhaustion. She breathed in once more, her throat stiffened firmly, her gut pushed with all it's might to fight back.

The pink haired mage rose to his trembling feet. His eyes gave a deadly glare to the distracted villain.

The tip of the cliff grew closer.

He took in his breath and pushed harder than any other. His stomach pushed in and released a strong wave surge of fire that emptied from his mouth, he roared as the magic flew and he breathed steadily. Watching the villainous mage tremble slowly, losing her spell on the blonde and soon tumble down off the mountain.

The blonde still took a step as the spell slowly faded.

Natsu ran faster than any other and brought her waist to his body and tucked her in securely, protecting her from the dangers below.

"D-Don't Go. . ." He muttered under his breath, toward her ear.

She gave in relieved and exhaled. The stiffness disappeared as a small smile caressed her lips.

"I won't." She spoke.

"Good." He tucked his chin in the crook of her neck.

She gently kissed his forehead and looked back to his onyx eyes, "You have bright eyes," Her soft voice cracked, "I hate to lose them."

He stroked her blonde hair and kissed her lovingly on the lips, a soft synch. He parted and hugged her tightly.

"Your hair reminds of the sun. You sure know how to blind me." He teased jokingly with a smile creeping to his lips.

She chuckled softly, a grin meeting her lips, "It's what you get, stupid."

She looked around at the demolished buildings that smoked strongly upwards. Sure there was a lot of damage, sure it lasted a week or so than required, but, everyone was safe. That was all they needed.

"You know Gramps is gonna snap?" The blonde assured him with a hint of a question.

He sighed, "Can't wait to hear his raging voice."

She giggled, "I love you."

He hugged her tighter but gently, in a sentimental way, "I love you more."
