Hi everyone! Hope you're all ready for a new oneshot!

(Natsu and Lucy are already dating)

Natsu gently pulled at the bottom of his sweatpants as he relaxed into the softness that greeted him. He had just finished taking a shower he had desperately needed of which couldn't have happened if it wasn't for his dear girlfriend, Lucy. He had even told himself to thank her later.

He wrapped his scarf around his neck and breathed happily, flexing his arms so they can finally be relieved from all that soreness he has been feeling.

He gently creaked open the door and sauntered on out to greet the blonde who sat on their bed, a blanket tugging at her waist and her eyes occupied on a mind-capturing book. He soon found himself smiling at just the view.

That was until her lip pouted and her eyebrows rose. She carefully closed the book and set her bookmark on top of, stating that she had finally finished. And to finish it off, she slowly took off her reading glasses and settled them on top of the book.

"You smell good." She glanced up at him as he nodded with a bright grin.

He soon gently crawled on the bed and then towards her, pecking her nose sweetly in the meanwhile. "What's up?"

"My favorite character died." She smiled sadly.

He combed a blonde strand behind her hair, "I'm sure they'll come back later in the story." With that, he warmly brought his arms around her waist.

"That's not technically how death works. . ."

"I mean— Aquarius came back, didn't she?"

"In some way, I guess but you can't really compare her to a human."

"You and Levy get too caught up in you guy's books." He sighed.

"It's a story that we learn and once we learn, we can't back out." The blonde tilted her head with a small pout.

He cocked his head, glancing up at her brunette irises, "You're cute when you explain stuff."

She giggled, "How? I'm literally just explaining something."

"Still though, you have a little glare in your eyes that draws someone's attention and you also have the smallest bit of a smile peeking out that in return, makes me happy." Natsu explained with an upturn of his lips.

The blonde confronted her thoughts as she let his kind words fill her heard. By doing this, she remembered as to why she loved him all over again and an upturn of her fair lips returned him the sweet favor. However, her lips fell down quickly, her eyes clouded as tears pricked at each corner and her lips let out a small quiver. Meanwhile, Natsu had a small panic attack and his fingers shook, quickly resorting to embracing her and resting her little head on his bare shoulder. He circled her back warmly as she let out a soft sobs, ones barely bearable as she normally were to make them but those tears were long ago, and ever since they started dating, tears were barely presentable. It was probably just the power of their love for each other.

"Hey, hey, what's up?" He spoke softly, his nose coated in her blonde locks.

"My," She sniffled. "My favorite character died. . ."

And that's when his lips flattened and he sat there contemplating as to how he ended up dating such a weirdo and book worm. He continued circling her backs as he uttered, "What if I were to die?" Jealously struck him quick.

She held back, "if you were to die? Well, I'd be completely shattered. Why?" A soft sniffle was overheard.

"No reason. It just came to mind." He nodded, softly resting his light chin onto her shoulder.

A sly smirk danced upon her lips. "I love you more than that book character. You know that, right?"

He hesitated a nod as he slowed down his circling of her light back. "I know."

Lucy gently pulled him away from her only to glance up at his sweet, dark onyx irises. He gave a small sad look down at her as she let a warm grin grace her lips. She pecked his warm lips and raised a pleasant brow at him. "No book character could replace you, okay? Unlike that character, you saved me countless times! No one could say that without having to proudly saying that but you, you're used to it. Which makes me think I totally owe you but what matters is that no one could replace you. You're Natsu. My Natsu. The only character I'll ever want to hug, go on missions with, kiss, cuddle and play games with. You hear? You turned my life completely upside down." With that, she pecked his lips once more.

He glanced down at her with those considerate irises and grinned his same toothy grin. "I wasn't jealous."

She raised a brow, "You sure?"

"Yes, I'm sure." He grinned cockily.

"Oh so what I said meant nothing? You wouldn't be mad if I chose that book character over you?"

He remained silent, only to be gazing down at her stern irises.

"Okay well, guess I'm gonna go make breakfast." And she slowly left his embrace, steadily getting up upon her feet and beginning to make her way over to the kitchen.

However, Natsu's hand quickly left his hand and grasped her light wrist, bringing her down forcefully as a light giggle escaped between her lips, him pulling her close to his warm body and compressing his lips against hers, drawing in passionately. He pulled away quickly and grinned, knowing of his defeat. "Hell yeah I'd be pissed."

She let out a small, chirpy victorious giggle as her irises glistened up at his.

"Quit being so cute." He chuckled to himself before leaning down and pressing his lips against hers once again. His lips softly drawing in on hers, them passionately returning the compassion. Only to be reminded that a simple character had made so much of a matter between the two. However, they seemed to cope with it. Just like always. And that's what mad everyone think, "What a couple."
