"I should be thanking you, you know? You saved me from those fan; not that I don't like the attention, but they put me on this pedistal. You talk to me like I'm a human being, like I'm a person. You shared your drink with me, and that cookie. And you, you trusted me. I needed someone like you, a friend, to trust...." I say to the girl who sat beside me. We sit and watch the sun slowly set.
"A friend?" She whispers, more so to herself than me.
"Yeah. Me and you..."
"Us?" She asks as she looks at me. I give her a small grin. I reach my hand over and place it ontop of hers. I see her eyes light up, a small tint of pink on her cheeks, perfected with a small and shy smile.°•○●°•○●°•FLASHBACK ○●°•○●°•
I wrap my arm around her shoulder. Together we take a step forward. But she turns and speed walks the other way. It takes me a moment for it to register, but as soon as it does, I'm already running towards her.
I didn't want her to leave.
"Wait!" I yell. She stops but doesn't look back at me. I run ahead and stop infront of her, turning her around to walk back.
Something inside of me. I wanted to protect her.
"What's wrong? I want to help"
She looks down and mumbles.
"It looks scary"I don't want her to be scared. When I see heights, I close me eyes. She can close her eyes too, for this fear.
"Then close your eyes" I tell her. She looks straight into my eyes. I can see her fear, and it tears me apart. But I don't know why.
Her eyes flicker between mine. She's searching for something. Ensurance? Positivy? To see if I'm lying, or trying to trick her maybe?
"No?"
Trust?
"C'mon, (Y/n) don't you trust me?"
Trust. That's all I've ever wanted. And now I want it from her, how can you help someone if they don't trust you.
I see a bundle of emotions pass her face. Her arm flinched and her hand grips the sleeve surrounding it. Tighter and tighter.
Stop!
"(Y/n)? Do you trust me?" I repeat. Her hand looses her grip as her eyes focus back on mine. She slowly closes her eyes and nods her head.
T-trust?
"Now hold my hand?" I ask her. She slowly, but not hesitantly, reaches her hand out. I pushed back her sleeve so I could actually see her hands. I entwine my hand with hers and step forward.
After I ask her where she wants to be led, I exit the alleyway and weave between the sea of people. I made my way, making sure that no one touches her.
I hear her whisper something to herself. I look back to see her eyes still closed as she feels for her music transmitter.
I see her shoulders loosen, and her grip on my hand is no longer as tight. It calms me to see her calm.
Calm. I bearly know calm anymore.
I lead her to a hill; I'd seen it in the brochure for this town. At the park. Just as the sun sets I turn to see her lost in her own world. I lightly laugh at this.
My head-
Or was it my heart that-
-screamed for me to dance with her.
But did she trust me enough for that? There was only one way to find out.
I spin her around like all those classical dances, pulling her back in for a dip. Her arms are around my neck as I hold her by her back and waist.
So precious...so special...
Her eyes flutter open, our colours clash as I feel my heart melt. I pull her up from the dip, spin her around and hug her from behind.
She feels so...so...
I hear her gasp at the sight. The beautiful sunset. It was stunning.
I didn't know I was thinking about her at that moment.
"I trusted you. And you brought me here" Once again, I feel as if she is talking to me and herself at the same time.
"I love that you trusted me"

As I see the suns rays brighten her features, I feel my heart flutter.
She looks back towards the glowing horizon, but leaves her hand beneath mine.
I think...
I feel myself...
doing the impossible...
feel love...
for her?
